training ????
So, I have been working out with a trainer now for just about 10 weeks, and I am pretty sure I am ready to do this myself. I push myself, I know everything I need to do, so I think its that time to stop working with her.
But I would like to get some feedback from you all? So? My workout routine is this: monday wednesdays and fridays I do 45 minutes of running, which is a little more then 5 miles, then I do abs, then I do legs. Tuesday and Thursday I do the same run, abs, but I work out Arms Back and shoulders. Saturdays I do Cardio only.
Well yesterday my trainer was saying now the I have lost all the weight I need to cut back my cardio and only lift 3 times a week!!!! She said to only do cardio 2 times a week. Other wise I wont see any results in losing this body fat. IS THIS TRUE???? I know I am crazy, but I love running, it gives me a high, and I actually love lifting as well. This is my time to get away from the boys and do my own thing.
Well anyways, give me your feed back. Do I start to cut back? Or do I continue doing what I am doing???
BTW! I am doing great with progress, I will post some more pictures soon. My body fat is now at 18% oh yeah another thing my trainer said is the lowest I want to get down to is 15% or I will have some issues. Let me know your thoughts on this too.

You don't do horizontal pushing? Why?
And yes, I think you can easily cut back on the cardio, but I'm no expert on bodyfatpercentages.

you actually have a smart trainer...
cardio very quickly reaches a point of diminishing returns, you can only get so much benefit from it. but if you like it, do it. i love running and cycling (now, it took a while to get there) so i do it for enjoyment.

I wouldn't lift after all that cardio. Can you split your cardio and lifting days or do cardio after you lift instead of before?
I agree about the horizontal pushing. What are you doing to work you chest?

You can divide the body in planes, sort of. If you look at all the movements you do, you are moving in the vertical plane, pushing and pulling (for instance, military presses, pull ups) pulling in the horizontal plane (any row, for instance) but you do not move the weight away from your body, in the horizontal plane, any bench press variant, basically.
