GNC Men's Mega Men Sport Multivitamin Review
GNC Men's Mega Men Sport Multivitamin Review
Store: The URL does not embed, please visit the GNC web site and enter the name of the product into the search bar.
Recommended dosage: 2 Pills per day. 1 Pill in the Morning, followed by 1 Pill in the Afternoon
Product Claims: Features a proprietary sports blend that includes Green Tea, Ginkgo Biloba and key amino acids. This scientifically designed formula also provides B-vitamins that are essential for carbohydrate metabolism and energy production. Enhanced with essential amino acids known as branched chain amino acids (BCAA). BCAA help to reduce the amount of protein breakdown during intense exercise.Includes a premium blend of antioxidants that protect the body from cell-damaging free radicals. Consumption of antioxidants such as selenium, beta-carotene and vitamins C and E can protect the body from excessive production. Supplies key minerals such as zinc and chromium that are involved in carbohydrate metabolism and glucose utilization. Minerals play an important role in maintaining health and are involved in key processes in the body. Timed-release tablets provide a gradual release of vital nutrients.
Achieving the Claims: Just by taking Mega Men Sport, see for your self.
This Product is directed towards: Athletes, Body Builders, Persons seeking general health, and anyone interested in the claims stated above.
Consuming: Take this Multivitamin During a meal such as Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.
Good/Bad value? Based on my personal experience, I would say it was a fair value. It was a good starter multivitamin and by taking this I had an idea what to expect from other multivitamins.
Important Tip: The pill size may be intimidating for some, practice with other larger supplement pills or cut the pill in half then consume. Don?t let the pill sit to long in your mouth with the liquid, as with any pill the taste can be displeasing. Also, disregard the discoloration of your urine which may take place.
Personal Experience after 30 days: *Note - I consumed 1 pill per day after breakfast followed by 1 pill after working out consumed with my post workout shake.* Personally, I can?t really say I made gains or anything of the such from this product. However, I felt well knowing that I was receiving a superb amount of Vitamins and Minerals by taking this product.
Personal Pros/Cons: Pros ? The vast amount of Vitamins and Minerals. Cons ? Really wasn?t any being that it was a starter multivitamin.
Overall: 7/10

On point review, it's a good starter vitamin, but I think CL Orange Triad is a much better product in a similar price range.

I'm taking this now, it was recommended at GNC. One thing that works against it is cost. Man this was pricy.
If this is a starter multi vitamin what would you recommend after taking this?
Thanks guys

Perhaps go for Orange Triade by Controlled Labs, Optimum Nutrition's OptiMen, or Universals Animal PAK

This is not a starters multi, you actually just made that up. Opti men is very similar to Mega Men.

It was my opinion. I made nothing up. I stated it was one due to the fact that someone could start using it to get the feeling of what its like to take daily multi compared to something such as Animal PAK and some other name brand product that came to mind that I felt might be better. Im sorry that you did not enjoy my review due to that.

Good stuff!
I agree with what most of you guys are saying. The yellow urine is normal with any vitamin. Drink more water and it will dilute.
In regards to price after discounts i think i paid around 15.00 dollars. Dosent seem bad at all compared to all the other money we spend on supps.
**** I could go to the bar for 2 hours and drop well over a couple hundred
on drinks that make me feel like hell the next day. Why not drop a few bucks on something that is good for me!
later,

I believe Mega men is an excellent vitamin. Excellent review. I use NOW adam at the moment. I use to do mega men religiously and I do a lot of animal paks also. I dont see a whole lot more difference between them. a few extras thrown in here and there.

Hello, I also just picked this product up today to go along with my workout regiment. I'm hoping to see it work well with the proteins I'm taking. Thanks for your review.

I'm taking this twice a day w/ meals (once in the morning and once in the afternoon)... should I only take it once a day to eliminate excess "waste" coming from my green urine...

Up to you. If you do decide to take it once a day I suggest taking it in the morning with your breakfast meal.

I've taken it too, seemed fine. Of course they are going to recommend it at GNC. I've always heard that most multi's are pretty much the same, with exceptions.

A few of those exceptions would be Universal and Controlled Labs.

That tends to happen. The body is simple expelling anything that you're in abundance of. It shouldn't be confused with absorption issues.
