    abs tightness !!!

Last week I done 3 sets of 15 decline crunches, the decline was around 30 degrees, I kept propper form and kept the tension on my abs, inhaled on the contraction and exhaled on the release/on the way back down, I stretched for 5 mins after the workout and had around a 10 minute slow jog to finish off. I was sore for the next two days and stretched everyday but a week later my top abs are really tight and I can't do one decline crunch without them stinging.

Can anyone advise me on what todo? my diets good, I get enough sleep and I always stretch and warm down, do I just need more recovery time?

Honestly just sounds like you might have overdone it. Keep stretching, try to do what you can with them to get your ROM back without too much pain, pain meds if you like (Motrin, Aleve, Advil), and give a week or two more before you get back into the hard ab workouts. Can you do normal crunches or anything? Do what's not painful. Remember, no pain = no pain.

Yeah I can normal crunches fine, thats what I normally do with hip thrusts and side bends, this time I thought would throw in some decline.

They feel better tonight, I can bend back alot more now without as much strain, but I'm gonna leave the declines for a week or 2 like you said, or until I can not feel that tightness any more.

    Thanx
