How much cottage cheese do you eat in a day?

Honestly... this stuff might as well be crack. I go through about two cups a day... and the only reason I stop there is because I think I should.

The only thing I like better than cottage cheese is peanutbutter. Oh glorious peanutbutter... you are my sunshine.

I have to really watch the sodium so the vast majority of cottage cheeses are out for me. While on vacation I did find some Dean's Dry Curd that was fat free & VERY low sodium. A few stevia packs and it was alright with some berries or mixed in with the morning yogurt. But they don't sell it up here....damn.

    I'm the complete opposite.

I normally have a high tolerance when it comes to what tastes bad and what not, but I absolutely cannot stomach the taste of Cottage Cheese.

Eating 1-2 cups before bed is the last thing I look forward to. Now I just mix 16oz of fat free Milk with Whey. It's not as good nutrition wise, but oh well, a Strawberry Milkshake sure beats eating Cottage Puke everynight.

1 cup a day, and that's right for bed throw some pb and a scoop of why in it and it's golden. If you are worried about sodium drink more water, I pay no attention to sodium cuz I drink at least 1.5 gallons of h2o a day.

i used to eat it regularly (pre-bed meal), but after a while even w/ PB i got sick of it. i'd rather chug a casein shake and be done with it.

Within this haze of pleasure and pain, there's knowledge and power, self-discipline and self-reliance."

As blasphemous as this may sound, I don't actually like cottage cheese or peanut butter that much, I only eat them to get my daily protein and fat up.

Can you buy cottage cheese in bulk? My local grocery store only has 750 mL tubs - needless to say I go through that pretty fast.

I eat about a cup a day most days. Last night I mixed in some Peanut butter with it. It was actually very good.

If you don't like PB or Cottage cheese, there are other ways to get protein and good fats. Why torture yourself?

I know what you mean, I buy a couple tubs every other day.

    Hi Guys
Been lurking for quite a while now only just started at the gym this week
and been on a fairly low calorie diet for about 3 weeks last two weeks really been dead strict on what i eat.
Got a fair bit of fat to loose and muscle to gain.

Is cottage cheese good for cutting or do you use it on your bulk diet?
Whats so good about it? Is it ideal for me to have before bed to help
with keeping the metabolism going whilst i sleep?

    many thanks

I am cutting and eat 1% fat cottage cheese every night before bed. It gives you a slow digesting protein to feed your muscles through the night while you are asleep. Cut or Bulk...cottage cheese is good.
