Why All The Hate For Metalcore?
Honestly why do all of the metalheads feel the need to talk **** on metalcore?
For the record, my favorite metalcore bands are Parkway Drive, It Dies Today, IKTPQ, As I Lay Dying, War of Ages, and August Burns Red

I don't see why anybody has to hate on anybody else's musical tastes PERIOD. Any band with a record deal doesn't suck, simple as that. You may not like them, sure, but they have talent or else they wouldn't be making records.

Try to ignore the elitist mentality in regards to the 'core' genres, tentative ***gotry is a given in any genre, it's just spewed forth in larger numbers in metal.
Anything that arouses the slightest bit of attention from the mass media is shunned as 'sell-out', because most popular music that is even vaguely related to metal would be Metalcore and it's sister and brother genres (Post Hardcore, Deathcore etc), Metalcore tends to become a spawning ground for haterade.
I'll agree that it is a cookie-cutter genre with not a wide array of qualities to offer, but the bands that do stand out (Parkway Drive, ABR, Misery Signals, Darkest Hour and a whole lot more) deserve every bit of the attention they get and should be commended for revitalising an already stale and derivative genre.
When someone says that Metalcore is 'ghey' or something vulgarly idiotic as so, they'll either refer to the absue of 'breakdowns' (which i will then lol indecisively at them for immense ignorance) or refer to the 'scene' following/culture.
If anyone judges a music genre as a whole in correlation to the mass of the fans, then truly, stupidity is the opium of the common man.

I like deathcore like All Shall Perish, the Aborted etc. but band like August Burns Red is WAYYY to emo-y for my taste.

Huge fan actually, they started out as Brutal Death but have recently gone alot more melodic via the lesser emphasis on brutality.
Listen to their Goremageddon album and tell me that's deathcore.
I don't even know wth Gorecore is.

Old Aborted is Death Metal. Newer stuff is kinda Deathcore sounding but I still enjoy it.

Maybe it's because of the use of hardcore and hardcore to some is like nu metal doesn't belong in the same breath as metal much less mixed in with metal.

how is metalcore any more repetitive than death metal?
your sweeping generalizations are a joke, there are metalcore bands, that sound completely different than one another. They don't ALL sound the same, if you're gonna take the time to put down a subgenre of music, at least listen to the band's music first before proclaiming them to be "shallow" or "repetitive nonsense." I kind of doubt that you've given any metalcore bands enough playtime to even give an insightful opinion.
