If you're real skinny why are you worried about the carbs?

1. I was told I have too many carbs in this diet.
This is my current diet...
cal = 2,810
prot = 186g
carb = 361g
fat = 52g
2. It has 20g sugar.
My main goal is to gain as much muscle as I can, at the same time wanting to get rid of these damn love handels. Everything on my body is looking better except for my stomach and handels.5'7" 138 lbs.

Really, try to skip on the gainers. If you need the calories, you can always make a whey protein shake in milk. To add even more cals add some fruit, oats, peanut butter, almonds... the list goes on. I'd deffinatly say, if you can't handle all whole food, make your own weight gainers. MUCH better for you.

I'm 5'7'' 138 lbs.
I was on whey protien, then someone at GNC told me I should be on this stuff. Me not knowing what I needed I just went along with them. I'll return the gainer and pick up the whey again.
What type of whey will I get the best bang for my buck?
If I make my own at home where do I get 2 scoops of protien?5'7" 138 lbs.

Of course the people at GNC are going to say you need the stuff. They are sales people. Their goal is to get you to buy things, wether you need them or not. NEVER listen to those kind of people when you're shopping.
Go back to the protein an add your own goodies. Sorry my friend, but you just got ripped off...He who talks much does little.

Fructose is excellent at helping a person put on weight, because the are no cells in the human body that can utilize fructose for energy. Fructose first has to be metabolized by the liver, converted to adipose tissue(fat) and then burned off to be used as a source of energy. Here is some good articles on maltodextrin

ON whey protein is the real deal, if you rich grab some Isopure. A good source of carbs after a work out would be like having an apple or banana with your protein shake.Last edited by DaBurg3r; 06-28-2008 at 10:35 AM. Reason: makes post better
