How often should we eat?
Just wna get peoples opinons on eating every 3 hours Vs. every 2 hours.
Is one better for increasing your metabolic rate? Or does it even matter.

From my expercience, just listen to your body. If you are super hungry all the time eat every 2. If not , eat every 3. Or mix n match this is How I roll.

Anywhere inbetween. If you feel full at 2 hours wait for 3. If you're getting hungry by 2 then eat then. Mix it up.

Great advice to be giving to people. All of us teenagers want to look like this!
Seriously, we need to know what were doing, stop telling people this.

it doesnt matter if you eat 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 hours apart. people here see great results with intermittent fasting, eating twice a day, layne norton actually recommends fewer meals with some bcaa in between.

You should probably ask Adam444, he's a fountain of information when it comes to meal frequency.

it doesn't matter, eat when your hungry. I set up my meal schedule every day but it's never spot on, I'll wait if I'm not hungry, and eat sooner if i am.

Effects of meal frequency on body composition during weight control in boxers.
Iwao S, Mori K, Sato Y.
First Division of Health Promotion Science, Graduate School of Medicine, Nagoya University, Japan.
The effects of meal frequency on changes in body composition by food restriction were investigated. Twelve boxers were divided between a two meals day-1 group (the 2M group) and a six meals day-1 group (the 6M group). Both groups ingested 5.02 MJ (1200 kcal) day-1 for 2 weeks. Although there was no difference in change of body weight by food restriction between the two groups, the decrease in lean body mass (LBM) was significantly greater in the 2M group than in the 6M group. The decrease in urinary 3-methylhistidine/creatinine was significantly greater in the 6M group than in the 2M group. These results suggest that the lower frequency of meal intake leads to a greater myoprotein catabolism even if the same diet is consumed.

I want to pull the full study on this one mainly because the minerals and electrolytes (in addition to the calories/macros) are very likely exactly the same for both groups.

Do you think that is because the body thought it was starving?

I pulled that up because it showed better results with 6 meals per day over 2 meals per day. (Notice the 6 meals per day group lost less lean mass at the same calories).
The reason I mentioned minerals/electrolytes is because that is normally a variable that usually isn't standardized for.
