Been out for awhile... a LONG while...
Time to get motivated again...

Alright, now that old journals are out of the way...
So... This past year has been interesting. Lots of twists and turns.
My best friend and I, yeah we've been together since before the divorce. He is completly OPPOSITE of my ex-husband: Hates working out, eats NO green ANYTHING! , plays WOW everyday (well, we both do.. hehe), .... Is wonderful....

Only problem, his lack of healthy lifestyle makes it hard for me to remain focused...
I've been working out on and off for the last year. We found out we were having a baby in March, only to be devistated when I had a miscarriage in May... It's been about 3 weeks since then, and I am just feeling blah...
So, I started thinking... what is it that I did through all the bad times in my marriage? I got focused. I worked out and ate right, and THAT was in my control. It alleviated stress, made me feel and look better overall, and gave me the confidence to take charge of my life.
I'm in desperate need of that power again.
So, here I am...
148# and according to my bf scale a massive 34.4% bodyfat!!! YIKES!!!
I began yesterday... I know some of you are going to cringe when I tell where and what I'm starting with, but it's worked in the past, and right now I need a quick fix:
Fitness mag 28 day workout from this June's issue. Supposedly the video is at
www.fitnessmagazine.com/bikinivideo but as of this moment, it is not coming up for me... anyway...
(I know, I know... girly workout... HATE HATE HATE! but for quick results these are a GODSEND! and I need a solid structure without all the stress of planning it right now.)
So yesterday I did the bare min of the workout... All full body moves for 8 reps, except the last two which I did 12 (was feeling more motivated by end of workout...) I didnt keep track of my food yesterday... but I know I had a bowl of Post Shredded Wheat (honey nut) for breakfast.. about 3/4 cereal w/ 1/2 c milk... (which is the first time Ive had milk since the early days of my pregnancy... it made me feel awful!!) then for lunch I had a deli-sliced chicken sandwhich on what they call a 'fitness roll' here (I still live in italy, so...) with dejon musturd and lettuce and tomato. Dinner, we went to the gastronomia and got their tortellini and some fresh buffalo mozzerella. And I had a couple glasses of red wine... I know I know, not the best day, but I'm working on it!
Today I tried to make a smoothie, with 1/2 small peach, small banana, 3/4c plain nonfat yogurt and 1/2 cup ACE juice (another Italian thing... orange, carrot and lemon... THE BEST!) BUT alas my blender that I just purchased does not work... So, i had the banana and both halves of the peach for breakfast, then went on a 30 min walk.
I probably should eat again here in a few... then lunch is kinda a toss up as I am going to a picnic... (I've been cooped up in the house since the miscarriage, so I need a little time out..)
Oh! I almost forgot, all last week was spent digging up weeds and planting glorious flowers in my yard, so I havn't quite been sedentary... LOL
Anyway, if you made it this far through my blah blah blahing CONGRATZ!!! you are stellar! LOL
I'll write more later... and keep you all updated on my progress (now if only I could find my camera >.< )
