How much can average high school football players benchpress?

yeah we run the wing too
and all of our lineman are very agile/quick
they arent as fast as yurs, but all of ours are in the 5.0-5.3 range (aside from the 4.7 kid)

Yeah...like i said its hand timed...so its more like...5.0-5.2

I'll believe you can, one of the guys I'm living with is only 140 lbs and can bench 300, granted thats all he works on but it is possible. He's been training for a benching competition with his dad, they do this every year and it sounds like they've been doing it while so. Just because Wolfe is 165 doesnt mean he cant bench 225 or 255 or whatever.

And Like i said its not impossible....but neither is a lineman runing a sub...5.0...

I play outside linebacker, run a 4.98 40 and bench 260, 185lbs, most players on my team are in the same range for linebacker, corners bench 200+, 4.7's, same with safetys, lineman all bench 220+ usually in the 275 + range some are weaker, and run decent 5.xx 40's.

our d-tackle benched 415lbs...(hes also the shortest arm person ive met) but that would bump our average up alot... 8 other players got 315 or higher(including a wide reciever and our running back) so that puts it up there too...


and lol our 1 hand timer was pretty bad and clocked our fastest reciever at 4.22... granted he is fast but not that fast...

my forty is a 4.65 electronically timed, and my bench is 240 with a pause

when i was in highschool most of our times for cornerbacks and safteys were in the 4.6 range, this is laser time however our lineman mostly were around 5.3 to 5.5 kinda guys exept for me and another guy who ran 4.92s our d lineman were around 5.00 flat kinda guys with linebackers in between 4.6 and 4.8 although we did have a lineback who was 230 pounds and ran a laser times 4.39

In HS, the avg. bench was anywhere from 225-240 for the juniors-senior, and around 165-185 for the fresh-soph. The avg. 40 for juniors-seniors was anywhere from a 4.8-5.1, with 2 4.4's.. Avg. for fresh-soph was around 5.2. Our rival in HS, had 2 guys with legit 4.3's .. Sampson Taylor who played for A&M, and Danny Amendola who played for Texas Tech. It all depends on what state also. The Woodlands high school had every starting lineman benching in the mid 300's, as where a school in another smaller state may only have one guy benching over 300.

the lineman on my team put up about 260-280, linbackers about 225, and dbs and wrs about 185-215 and the two quarterbacks on my team put up 225 and 240.

I lived right down the street from consolidated last season. I caught a few games last year.I would hit up a consolidated game , and then catch the aggies on saturday. I'm in Conroe right now.We are living right down the street from the school again next semester. I spent a huge portion of my time last year training around that field, and the park around the street. You aint the real tigers down in Conroe, but Consolidated tigers are still cool.

Our DBs bench 185-225 and run 4.4-4.8 (hand timed).

Personally, I'm a DT/DE and G/T that's 6'2" 270 lbs. and I bench 350 and run a 4.84 electronic. Our starting o-line ranges from benching 200-350, with close to 5.0 40s.

Ah I only bench 200 atm, I really wanted to hit 225. Sucks.. I'm running out of time for my senior season. But I guess it's not bad since I only had one a half lifting seasons with the team.

Where are you getting these numbers.....u only add .2-.3 for hand timed....most of our line men are 180-215 lbs so yes we all run sub....5.0s and our skills run 4.5-4.6 (hand timed)

I'm 16, a junior, 6'2", 305, and I bench 350 and run a 5.12 40. I'm. The strongest kid in my class and yes my 40 time is legit. I'm probably the most athletic kid my size I know. The juniors-sophmores avg probably 225 bench and a 5.2 40.

Not for sure our schools kinda ****ed, our top 10 bench presses are all not football players.
I know our cornerbacks between them is an average of 170 with one benching 135 and the other 205.
Linebackers are between 165-235 so the average there is 200?
Lineman are between 185-245.
Running back is at 255 with a 405 lb squat which is the highest on the team amazingly runs a sub 4.4 confirmed timed.
Quarter back is maybe 125? Not for sure to be honest haven't lifted with the kid in a few months.
Wide out is 105-115? I know small school
Tight end is 325 lb and a 5.3? I believe.
I am 155 benching 275 atm and run a sub 4.9 40.
