How much can average high school football players benchpress?
Im pretty curios about it for all positions but mainly Cornerback and free safety, also how fast can they run their 40s ussually? I searched google but couldnt find anything on high school players.

I'm not entirely sure about other places. But at my school, I would say most of the stronger guys can do at least 230lbs.

hence the name, hand timed
so youre saying the linemen who run 5.5-5.6 40s are complimented by the skills who run 4.3s? that IS how you average
not trying to attack you just curious

Where are you getting these numbers.....u only add .2-.3 for hand timed....most of our line men are 180-215 lbs so yes we all run sub....5.0s and our skills run 4.5-4.6 (hand timed)

Bench 225 and 40 in 4.54 for me. I have the fastest 40 on varsity this year. I play corner. Average for our corners and frees is 4.7 or 4.8.

Doin work..
Bench 185
4.4 40
I'm a Varsity Corner.
Our Free Safety who got a full ride for football in college who just graduated benched 240 and ran a 4.6ish, he was 5'9 around 185 or 190, for a little comparison.
I'd rather be dead then average.

I played OLB in HS and I was putting up 205 for 2-3 reps, our safeties and corners were usually doing 185 for the same reps. I ran a 4.78 in HS and the corners/safeties averages about a 4.65 or so.

Gangsta of G-MEN
the lineman on my team put up about 260-280, linbackers about 225, and dbs and wrs about 185-215 and the two quarterbacks on my team put up 225 and 240.
I give reps away, like it's the holidays ;)

Average at my school I'd say would be around 190 with the entire varsity team.
As far as safety and corner, I play safety and I put up 255. 40 of 4.8, not that fast but I have quick feet and am good at changing directions.
and guy who says linemen run below 5's your full of it.

my schools corners:
6'1 155lbs benches 225 ran a hand timed 4.4
5'9 185lbs benches around 255 runs a hand timed 4.6
so after reading posts, and seeing my own schools CB's
i would say bench around 225, and run in the 4.5's
Beginning:--- 267lbs
current: 195-200

not hard to believe
one of our offensive linemen runs a 4.7 at 190lbs
another one runs a 5.0 at 250lbs
u know, there are offensive schemes made where linemen actually have to move and run (wing)

I'll believe you can, one of the guys I'm living with is only 140 lbs and can bench 300, granted thats all he works on but it is possible. He's been training for a benching competition with his dad, they do this every year and it sounds like they've been doing it while so. Just because Wolfe is 165 doesnt mean he cant bench 225 or 255 or whatever.
