1200 Calories/day-what do you eat?
Hi Everyone,
I'm doing caloric cycling as I'm peaking for my competition. I have a 1200 calorie day now and then. I'm required to get a minimum of 175 g of protein.
Does anyone have a great dish/meal/day that they use for these type of days? I already got the whey shake down, so I'm talking about real food.
Thanks!

You could do egg whites. 10 egg whites 150 cal 30g of protein. Sometimes I put veggies in it and I get realy full.

1200 is tough. I'm assuming that's a low carb day? Eat a huge salad with chicken or tuna.

I'd second the chicken and tuna. More filling and more cals expended digesting them.
Good luck on your competition!!

I don't compete but I know people who keep repeating chicken and green beans/asparagus/broccoli over and over when cutting...Not very interesting but from what I've seen it does the job.
Tilapia would probably be a nice change of pace when you get sick of chewing. LOL

That's all good and I am doing it. I made a chicken soup with ff broth, hard boiled egg whites, poached chicken breast, veggies and seasoned with cilantro and lemon juice. It was a ton of food for around 250 cal.
I'm thinking it may mostly be a liquid whey kind of day.
I eat my egg whites everyday but I'm really tired of them.
Yes, it is a low carb day; it's part of a calorie spiral that my figure coach has me on to see how'll I'll shred. I've dropped 2.5 pounds in 4 days so I'll be interested in seeing my bf% on Thursday.

Try to get in a white fish such as orange roughy, tilapia or swordfish... even mahi mahi.
Tuna is high in sodium as are egg whites so closer to your show you may have to drop them.
