1200 Calories/day-what do you eat?
Hi Everyone,
I'm caloric cycling while I'm peaking. I have a 1200 calorie day and I need to consume 175 grams of protein.
Does anyone have a great low cal/hi protein meal that they rely on for these type of days? (not a whey shake please)

Your best bet would be tuna or salmon. 1200 is nothing!

I think I did 1200kcal once when I was really ill and slept most of the day. Granted, I'm not 130lb. But I probably didn't manage 175g protein either.
Anyway, very lean meat, eggs and fish (Tuna, chicken, turkey) + fibrous veg? A few g of EFAs like fish oil (or eat salmon or other fatty fish)?
That and some CC and a bit of nut butter are what I eat when I'm trying to get down to 10xBW in calories.
I use Mrs Dash and curry powder to season the food (meat, fish, eggs and veg). DaVinci syrup in the CC.

Egg whites are like 20 calories each and still high protein
Tuna is like 175 calories for a can and like 40 grams protein

lots of eggwhites, veggies, pumpkin, butternut squash, lean meat, turkey breast slices, easy bread, oats with water and cinnamon + splenda,bulgur, some special pies

I've got to restrict my starchy carbs in the evening so I try and hit them at lunch but they usually don't make it on a 1200 day.
Any good food concoction that come in high in protein around 250 cals out there?

pure oat bran in bulk for carbs. That **** fills you up nice. 120 cals 1/2 a cup dry, but it makes a hefty portion cooked.

This is what I ate today so far. I suggest that you probably take out the fruit from mine and replace it with egg whites or something.
For me, I hate just eating only egg whites; it wastes a perfectly good egg. I say, opt for something else like:
- tuna
- chicken breast
- other lean meat

repeat 6 times
I also eat oats and eggs in the am..
shake and pb at night.. otherwise its the fish and greens
