Lol please, you can see how incredibly flat and tight it is there. No where near what ronnie has for example, or what he used to have.

Its adaption, you eat large quantities of food, take large quantities of adaptive compounds and train with massive weights, your bodies systems will adapt.

Why do ppl only seem to think that performance enhancing substances only induce growth in skeletal muscle?

Now what happens is the intestines work much harder as excess food passes through, now this sets up a strong adaptive response, remember intestines are muscle too, smooth muscle but the principles of adaption apply to all systems within the body.

Now more food is ate, the intestines have to work harder, this is 1 stress, now normally the intestines would not grow much if at all, but the athlete is taking large quantities of adaptive compounds, so the muscle grows, as it attempts to adapt from the stress aforementioned.

Now the athletes usually use massive weights, when you use incredible weights, you get indirect stress placed on the core or the midsection, so IMO, you do not need to do any direct ab work as your abs get worked thoroughly from heavy squats, leg presses, deadlifts, shrugs, even heavy tricep pressdowns, this is probably one of the reasons why many pros lift lighter and with higher reps, as they do not want to over stimulate their core muscles as they have seen what over stimulation of many different muscles can do when on highly adaptive compounds.

I am certain that if an athlete significantly reduces his peptide use and tries to build mass slowly on peptides then his gut will atrophy, he could also try the light weight technique i mentioned also, it is the law of adaption or GAS. (General Adaption Syndrome)

This info is key to keeping the waist in check during the offseason, i have not seen it practiced yet with the top pros, but maybe some of them use lower doses of peptides, instead of the massive doses used by the mass monsters of late.

I wasnt going to post all this as i have commented on it numerous times b4, i think i even have a thread on it in this section somewhere, i cant believe no one remembered any of this.

Amen to that, why do people only say it's hgh or slin, granted they may contribute some but i doubt they are the single reason for the distension.. I mean shouldn't this be common sense.

While I think this is logical, do you have any empirical evidence to support this? Is there any scientific evidence to support the claim that eating more food would cause significant intestinal hypertrophy?

As far as heavy weights, why do we not see the same kind of "gut" in all strength athletes?

I am a firm believer in the GH/IGF/Insulin explanation until more solid evidence is shown. If the reason was simply lots of food and heavy weight, you'd have seen GH guts a very long time ago en masse. I doubt very much that Dexter Jackson lifts significantly heavier or eats significantly more than many of the other bodybuilders of old.

i think he is saying eating alot of food is more stimulation for your intestine muscles, added stimulation + AAS and IGF etc makes them grow more.

Show some solid evidence of GH/IGF/Slin, it's all just speculation. The eating and heavy weights makes more sense considering the pros of today use much more AAS and are much bigger than the 70's and even 80's pros. You can't seriously think that the pros of today eat the same amount when they are much bigger and use more juice? They have to put more food down just to maintain and put on mass.

Unless I am missing something, you guys are basically debating whether gorging yourself on way too much food might cause your gut to grow.

I dont think so the pros of today know what too eat to maintain there size and are not experimenting like the bodybuilders of old, and you have no proof of todays bodybuilders doing more juice, they just know that recovery is very important in gaining size. Arnold was downing 10000 calories a day, with 20 eggs a day.

the dude obviously looks pretty fricken bad, but personally i give him props for trying to make due with the structure he was born with. Its obvious his bone structure is the exact OPPOSITE in most aspects of the ideal. He naturally has high calves, wide hips, small clavicles, long torso...the list goes on and on. He's put on a ton of muscle mass but unfortunately has to live with his horrible bone structure. its just one of those sad facts of life...

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about if you think pros of today aren't doing more juice than the pros of the 70's. Sorry, but you are completely out of touch with reality.

Wrong. Tom Prince only has a very simple understanding and shows his ignorance of what actually happens in the body. He doesn't realize that androgens can exert an anabolic effect WITHOUT binding to the receptor. So in laymens terms, just because a steroid is not binding to the AR doesn't mean it can't still exert an anabolic effect on the subject.

You dont seem to fully understand what im saying, eating large quantities of food alone will not be sufficient to elicit a significant increase in intestine or gut size, other than having a huge full looking gut, now add the peptides or adaptive factors and over lots of time we have the adaptation process taking place.

You should not compare Dex to the athletes of old, I am sure he uses less LR3/slin than Ronnie did, or he may take breaks in between his peptide use.

Why should Dex lift significantly heavier than the old athletes? he has a small gut, im not understanding your point.

We see huge guts in many strength athletes that do large doses of peptides, Mariuz is the first one that comes to mind, plus many strength athletes do have huge guts, but they are covered in significant fat, not all are ripped to the bone.

Read The Stress of Life by Dr Hans Sayle to understand more about the GAS, it is a proven theory, all systems adapt to stress, one of the main the purposes of the intestines is to move waste along to be excreted, you eat larger quantities of foods, especially meats and bulky food, im sure the intestines have to work much harder and they are muscles too, what happens if you lift a heavy weight again and again until you cant lift it no more? This is a stress that the body will seek to adapt to, If you allow enough time to recover, take in the caloric cement required for growth, then your muscles will become stronger through growth, especially if the process is repeated over time, not only will the muscles recover, but the whole body will become more adept to cope with the specific training.

If we take certain hormones at this time, we will be able to not only increase the level of stress imposed, but we will be able to recover much faster, therefore we will 'over' adapt compared to if we only relied on the bodies innate capacities, the intestines are full of igf-1 receptors, so as the nature of the intestines is to move the waste along, with muscles, so if you eat far more food the muscles may seek to adapt, this is the spark, the LR3 is the fuel of the adaptation process.

Im not sure if its LR3 or slin, I dont know enough about slin TBH, but combined with LR3 we have some pretty powerful growth factors, ready to promote growth on so many levels, of many many tissues, where there is stress, there will be growth.

Of course this is all a theory I have, from all the pieces of the puzzle I have at my disposal, it is a working theory, based on hard science, that I mentioned earlier.

I have not devoted hardly any real thought to this, I could experiment with myself as a model and prove it to myself, but I would rather not for obvious reasons.

Also bear in mind that guts didn't start to get big b4 HUIGF-1 was being really abused with slin and other compounds, then when LR3 hit the scene, guts got really out of control.

I would like to test this on athletes, but I am sure some of them have figured it out already and are keeping it on the quiet.
