Funny, that was my question this last week.
I had 3 interviews, I decided to buy a few Golf Polos, the nice ones you can tuck in, but look nice and a pair of slacks. It seemed to work.Failure is Allways and Option!!!!!!!!

That is sooo true. I was amazed when I walked into LVAC to interview and the 2 head trainers had a beer belly and looked like crap. The only other trianer I saw looked like he was 20 years old, 5'6" tall and about 120lbs. I would not want any of them to ever train me if I was new.
It was a joke.Failure is Allways and Option!!!!!!!!

It really depends on which gym/company you're going for...
...most of the places I'd even consider here in the UK would require suit and tie, it's tried and tested - what you may think is "boring" would be considered at least 'normal' - anything less may be percieved as lower class/too casual/lack of attempt etc.
Not too sure, but I would personally stick to the suit and tie, never failed before tbh.

If your lucky you might find a polo shirt that goes with a suite (I personally have a boss suite) but its one of those one in a hundred matches which took me ages to find.
Any way, wear your suite but with the polo shirt underneath, when you go into the interview just simply say 'its a bit hot in here do you mind if I take my jacket off (or what ever its called). Now the interviewer would say yes obviously and because you still wore a sutie (half of one) it shows that you give effort and also if you wear a tightish polo shirt it shows of your physique.reps4life: Ayudha

LOL.
I wore a polo shirt that was tight. With... are you ready... jeans. Yup, got the job.
Just make sure you come off confident, and eager to rip that place apart in sales.
They will hire you even if you came in boxers.
I was always a bit weary of wearing a suit to any gym job. You will look out of place easy, however if you look good in a suit than its definitely a plus.
Good luck.I learn 24/7. I don't pretend to know everything, and I LOVE lifting weights.

A smile. The answer is you should wear a smile. It will also double as your umbrella.
