Frank Mir or Nog FTW by far.
It is going to be an absolute privilege for any of these fighters to learn from either of these guys. Remember the guys who didn't really even want to be on Jens team... I mean, he is fun to watch, but, they knew where the real learning would take place.
I don't think anybody is going to mind being coached by either one of these guys.

Man, that was just the story though. They trained for a couple of months and you only see a couple of hours. Editing on a reality show is like any other show, you see exactly what they decide you should see.

The Best Coaches in my opinion go in this order
1) Couture season 1 (Guy is as good a coach as he is a fighter)
2) Serra season 6
3) Hughes season 2
4) Tito Season 3
5) Lidell Season 1
6) Franklin Season 2
7) BJ Season 5
8) Pulver Season 5
9) Griffon Season 7
10) Hughes Season 6 (Made him look bad, but Hughes is a good coach)
11) Rampage Season 7
12) Shamrock Season 3

Couture wasn't exactly impressive in season 1. Liddell had 3 of the 4 finalist, both winners, and Team Liddell won something like 8 of 10 fights.

I don't think that you can really judge based on that though. Most of those guys have already had training, some from top-notch guys, and they'd learned all that they were gonna learn in that span of time. Couture and Liddell were mainly there to get them in shape, as is the case most of the time on TUF. I'm sure you can learn a few new tricks while you're there, but you're mostly just getting in shape.
Just based off styles and personality, I'd rather have Couture as a coach than Chuck... Chuck seems more like a partier than a coach. I think Jens might be a better coach than BJ Penn too.... just because someone is a better fighter doesn't mean they're gonna be a better coach/trainer. I'm pretty sure Jens has sparred with and helped train guys at MFS for several years.

Lot of people picking BJ. Why? Didn't his team kinda get spanked?

BJ is a great fight but as a coach not so much. I thought Jens was a better coach that season.

Well you have to judge based off something, and team success is pretty much all we have without actually being there. Just because Couture seems more "coach-like" in interviews isn't nearly enough of a reason to vote him best coach. The teams should at least be somewhat even talentwise due to the schoolyard pick, and his got manhandled.

Tito for sure. Watching Shamrock try and work out why he kept losing was funny.
