I stretch everyday. And I am a big fan of extreme stretching following resistance training sessions.

I stretch every day, not only after my workouts but also several times throughout the day.

golf is why i started stretching more. flexibility is so much more important than sheer strength in golf. i've been thinking about doing yoga, but mainly i do that hip stretch where u lay on your back and lay your leg across. back, shoulder and hip stretches. b4 i goto bed.

I can't remember the last time I stretched. It's something I need to be doing on a consistent basis. At least I haven't lost any flexibility, though. Yoga sounds like it could work for me.

I used to stretch when I played hockey and it really improved my game, but since then, it's just been lift weights, cardio, go home. I shoud really get back into stretching because my flexibility is horrible

I've done the X-Stretch as well. Some of the Yoga stuff is pretty challenging. When I have some free time I do this.
Lately I've been getting in 15 minutes in or so at work. I usually use the stretching band. My hamstrings have been super tight ever since my surgery two years ago, I am still trying to get the flexibility back in the left leg. I also use the foam roller, for calves and back.

Strength training shortens the muscle over time decreasing your range of motion; stretching keeps your ROM at a healthy level.
It's a reason why top BBers get sports massage, keeps them limber.

Sounds more like inflammation or an injury.

Keep it short. And better yet, dynamic. Can reduce strength and create temporary joint instability if it's too long or you use too much tension.
