Shaving v. Waxing
Hi Ladies-
Here's an awkward question. I know that waxing is the way to go for hair removal but I have a hell of a time letting it grow out for 8 days (dark, coarse, italian hair).
How many of you shave v. wax?
Can I shave after I've applied a coat of stain or will that screw it up?
Thanks for the help!

I am also interested in this question
I normally shave because I too have the same problems in between waxes.
I also get bad ingrowns from waxing but none from shaving.
I imagine though when I compete I will wax a few days before - to get that clean look that you never get properly with shaving and put up with the ingrowns for the next couple of weeks after the comp.

Waxing is good, but ive used VEET CREAM and it seems to do the trick, easy to apply , no mess, no irratation, and just take the little bit of excess of with a razor.

definitely wax. shaving is messly and time consuming and doesn't get the job done as well as waxing. plus the hairs grow back in coarse. in between your waxes, use an epilator. they hurt a bit but it totally works and is much better than shaving, imho. exfoliate in between to prevent ingrowns.

I use those razorless shaving creams that you put on, wait, and wipe off and they do great. Only place I have problems using it is on my chest. I get bumps there for some reason, but I can do my legs, back, ass, face, and everything else fine with no problems.
P.S. I put it on my testicles once.... was NOT a good idea... take my word for it. Otherwise... you'll wish you had.

the Veet doesn't work for me, what is an epilator?
Has anyone ever shaved after applying the tanning stain?

If you're only doing one show, wax 3-4 days prior.
If you're doing more than one in the span of a few weeks, shave. Any bumps you may get in the 2-3 weeks post waking cannot be hidden on stage.
You should not have to shave after applying color. For a Saturday show, shave your entire body (yes - everywhere, belly, back, butt, arms, anywhere you have peach fuzz!) Thursday.
