Calorie Dense Foods?
Hello,
This may seem like an odd thing to ask, but how do you guys manage to eat 2K+ clean cals while on a cut? I just calculated my cals for yesterday and the macros were okay. But I only ate about 1,400 cals. I KNOW that is way too low..but I was full all day. What do you eat to up the cals but not totally mess up the macros. (Mine yesterday were Protein:60% Carbs:27.36% Fat:12.49%) Protein amount was 198g for the day which is basically a gram per lb of BW. Fat does look kind of low actually..but I am taking fish oil supps as well.

For me its easier then I thought. I'm a on lower carb diet plan....lean meats, veggies, grapefruit, fats.
How I can get my calories up are from:
Steaks, Avocadoes, Peanut butter, Almonds, olive oil, etc.

I actually have added some natty PB to my meals today..and things are better...I'm at 950 cal for the day so far..and I haven't eaten lunch yet. Looking at yesterday I also need to up my fats a bit. Incidently I love that thedailyplate.com for diet tracking. SO many more name brand foods plus much easier to find what you are looking for.

Don't worry about the calories or percentages, focus on the nutrients.
Focus on getting the protein you need, which it sounds like you are. Keep up with the fish oil, that's the only essential fat you absolutely must have in your diet, eat fibrous veggies, and let the calories fall where they may and ignore the percentages.
I eat 1200 cals per day, some days less, some days more, but I ALWAYS get my protein, EFAs, veggies and vitamins no matter what.
This works out to 2.5lbs of meat per day and a whole crapload of veggies. Anyone that thinks it's starving is off their rocker, it's a freakin' truckload of food to put down every day.
You need NUTRIENT dense, not calorie dense.

Thanks, that was sorta the way I was thinking. If I am hitting my macros and nutrients I'm going to stop worrying about cals as much.
