question
I'm thinking about trying Keto for a while. I want to still get bigger while trying it though. Anyway, my workouts are around 730 at night, and I'm usually in bed by 11 at the lastest, after a 9hr work day, every day, of just sitting at my computer for the most part. So, aside from my PWO shake, what should I eat to continue to gain lean mass/lose fat so close to bed time, yet taking advantage of PWO nutrition time-frame? High-fat meats, spinach salad, and maybe a 1/4 cup of brown rice or wheat pasta or something?
For my PWO shake, i have about 50g of Waxy w/ about 5g BCAA's mixed in, starting consumption right before my final set. Then when I get home (about 10min later), I have about 45g whey and half a protein scoop of ground-up oats. (1/2 dry = about 2 scoops when ground up if I remember correctly, so I'm getting all of about 10g carbs at most here)

If your gunna do postworkout carbs, keep 'em mininmal, 10g seems about right.
Don't eat carbs again right before bedtime, definetely not. I usually work out at the same time as you. I either go to bed fasted if I'm not hungry, or I have a few tbsp of peanut butter or fry up a few eggs around 10 if I really killed it in the gym. If you are concerned with building muscle as much as possible, I'd think eggs are probably your best all-around pre-bedtime bet.

There's no way in hell it could be even a little beneficial to come home from working out and go to bed without putting anything in your body. How much do you weigh again???

He's getting a PWO shake and a source of carbs. That isn't nothing.
Adding a high protein/fat meal afterwards wouldn't be bad either, but I don't know that its necessary.
Maybe adding slow-digesting casein to your late PWO shakes would be helpful.
