I tried the techniques that Glass showed in the video this morning. I can truely say they worked the muscles better. The weight I was using had to drop but I can really feel the differance. Thanks for pointing out the video.

How are the methods in the video linked on the front page working out for those who said they would try them?
Oddly, I'm looking to focus on my shoulders for 3 months or so before trying to push my bench back to my best lift (from 25 or so years ago).
Decided I'd better fortify my shoulders first.
Anyways, how are the methods from the Glass video working? Was friends with Methuselah

Kind of an old post but since it got bumped, I really look forward to seated barbell presses. A year ago I tried a so so 135# rep but things slipped back. Now, 125# for 5r is tough but doable.
Careful behind the neck presses with the Smith (coming down to the top of the head or just below) feel fine. And patience and persistence has kicked in with single dbell front and lateral raises (somehow I don't care for doing both arms at a time).
Only thing that seems to mess up the whole shoulder mechanism are upright rows, so have finally ditched them.

no you should never train your delts before you train your chest if worked on the same day...your delts are a smaller muscle group, and should be trained last, unless you are trying to focus on them....
thats why most people who train one body part a day, will train chest on monday, then give shoulders till thursday, because they are worked secondarily on chest day.I do not sugar coat things, but you got in the condition you're in by "sugar coating."

Shoulders Shoulders Shoulders !!!!!
lol, I completely agree with this. I've been fortunate to have good broad shoulders and as much as I love working my traps, I'm always trying to keep them in proportion because they seem to grow really easy for me. If only I was blessed with a perfect 6 pack!! grrrrrrr lol. Anyway, We have one guy in our gym who proudly proclaims himself "MR. Traps" has sloping shoulders and to me looks a little silly with them being so out of proportion. Today is my shoulders day and I plan on crushing them!! lol. I've given my shoulders a day of their own because they're just that important to me. Good luck brother, keep those shoulders broad!!!!!
You're never too old to be the person that you were meant to be.
