i have done my reasearch and did not come up with the answer that im looking for, most of them are about sitting vs. standing. But my questions is whats the differenece between front and back? i also heard that if you to back you can rip you rotorcuff (sp), is that true? also im able to do more weigh to the back then front, is that normal?
thanks in advance.

Front press emphasizes anterior and medial deltoid and the back press emphesizes the prosterior deltoid and medial deltoid. It is the rotator cuff which is put in a precarious position during this exercise.
Front is more effective. More weight can be used. More mass can be gained. There is less risk to the rotator cuff.
To work the prosterior deltoid use reverse flies and similar exercises. The prosterior deltoid is also worked in many back exercises such as the barbell row.
When using front press, do not let barbell pass your mouth and when doing rear press, do not let barbell pass your ears (both on the way down).

Military Press ("front") uses an extra synergist: pecs. I think. BTN press doesn't. They pretty much hit the same heads of deltoids for me, but BTN emphasizes the medial head a bit more. I did BTN presses for a while with no RC problems. Make sure you form is dead perfect on BTN presses. And of course, if it hurts, don't do it, or check your form.
