Would be nice if they provided the molecular weight of the stuff.
The digestibility of hydrolyzed collagen is high. Over 90% of it is digestible. But people can't get their head wrapped around the difference between collagen and low molecular weight hydrolized collagen - if this is what it really is.
This is a comparable HC product for example.
Actinase (the patent-pending protein formulation in Profect) is a balance of peptides (i.e. small protein molecules) derived from collagen, whey and casein. The source of all three proteins is bovine (cow), just like milk. The precise combination of proteins yields an optimum, complete balance of amino acids. Actinase is void of lactose, allergens and fat, and it is enzymatically hydrolyzed to a molecular weight that allows for easy assimilation and absorption (1,400 daltons). This makes Actinase extremely bioavailable. Further, Actinase does not cause gastrointestinal distress, bloating, cramping, or 'dumping'.
