You should take in 1g per pound of body weight.
Little off topic here... I was watching TV this morning and as I was flipping through channels I came across a local channel that was talking about bodybuidling. It caught my attention so I started watching it. It then got into the talk of protein, how it works and how people misuse it. I was just shocked by bull**** that they were saying. They said how many people who load their diet with protein, 200g or more are just killing themselves and they were saying how protein has almost nothing to do with muscle growth. They said that people who have 40% protein diets are stupid and ignorant. I believe their ideal diet was 75% carbs, 10-15% Protein and rest fats.
Now, if they were talking about regular every day people, I would somewhat be okay with it. But they were talking about athletes, bodybuilders and just everybody, which is a first mistake because not every group can intake the same amount of protein. Anyways they also went on to say how ideal amount of protein for every person is 60g. They went on to "explain" how all the marketing businesses want to promote protein use so they would sell their products better and how EVERY person in the magazines who advertises the protein use is on steroids and that protein won't help you get to the results. Now it's true that SOME bodybuilders in there are not natural and it's true that protein alone won't get you all the way but the way they phrased it was just ridiculous. This is where I got pissed off and changed the channel.
I guess this whole thing is just to see what you guy think of this and all the bull people say about bodybuilding and everything I mentioned above.

My friend did that. He started eating at least 400g protein a day.
He started at like 5'11, 154lbs at abou 12% bf within 6 months (he used supps too like superpump, sizeon, hmb, etc.) at about 13.5 arms....now he's 5'11, 215lbs at like 15% bf, but about 20.5" arms. It's sick how big he is.
He's a little tubby, but not really noticable with those huge ass arms. It's alpha.
But still I'm gonna join that 400g club, started yesterday!
