"He's Just Not That Into You"
As I re-enter the dating world at the ripe old age that I am, I figured it would offer me some insight. I have to say I loved it, I wish more women would read it, and "get it".

I read "why men like b*tches" I liked it. I thought it was more funny than insightful but I learned a little. I'll have to pick up "he's just not that into you."

same sort of thing in this. but it's cut and dry.
it basically says not to waste time or "the pretty" as the author puts it on a guy thats not totally about you. it's no excusese, it's not his fault or yours, its just that he's....not that into you....move on....

My ex-girlfriend read it and seemed to think very highly of it. Of course we broke up soon after she finished it so I can't say I'm too pleased with the author right now....

When I was single my sister and I bought this book for each other...And it's pretty much all true. I don't think it's a penis hating book...because I love penis.
What annoys me is that parents aren't teaching their daughters from a young age the lessons to be learned in that book:
Stand up for yourself, don't be a doormat and let people walk all over you, believe in yourself, respect yourself, don't degrade yourself. It's pretty sad to me that most women (myself included) learn these lessons so late in life AND learn them the hard way...some never do!
Grrrr......

Wish I had learned that lessons about 10 years before I did. Woul have saved me years of unhappiness and spared me a divorce.

No, it was because I tore up her Barnes & Noble card so she'd stop buying books about relationships.

OMG... Maybe it should be a mandatory read for every girl! I wish someone would've given me nicole's advice YEARS and YEARS ago! Or somehow led me to believe it! It's VERY hard to relearn how to NOT be everyone's enabler/doormat! And... unfortunately... I think guys see that in me from ten miles away!

You're 14, too. I don't think any of us are looking for babysitting gigs.

I LOVED THAT BOOK!
There are so many women in the world who need to read it, namely the majority of my friends.
In fact, I read it then met a guy that I liked...and obviously (based on the book) he wasn't really all that into me. Had I not read the book I would have kept calling. Thank God I didn't become "that girl."
Women (including me) can be so overbearing, and in the end, if a guy wants you, he'll go after you. If he doesn't call...he's not interested. If he's married or dating someone else...he's NOT INTERESTED!
Novel concept, eh? Btw, the author of the book, Greg Behrendt (I butchered his last name) had an awesome talk show for a while, but I think I was the only person who watched it, so it got canceled.
