    Question BA tingles

Anyone ever get a tingling/itching/slight burning sensation from beta-alanine? I just took a sample of Hyper Pump that I got free from bb.com (green lemon-lime shot thing) and my ears, back of my hands, and fingers feel tingly/burning. It's pretty weird. Anyone else ever get this?

I hate those tingles but I find that BA is a very effective supplement...at least for me.

Yep, this tingle occurs with most beta-alanine users.

Accordingly to a neurologist that I talk with (that is one of the leading experts in BA), the tingling is totally harmless and even tends to diminish over time.

I'm popping my BA cherry today at the gym! I'm stacking purple wrath with greenmag. I also got a sample of that HyperPump and noticed on the back it has Yohimbine in it and greenmag says not to take with it. Any worries about stacking them?

Q: What is the prickling I feel when I first take IntraXCell?

The prickling - called parathesia - is caused by Beta-Alanine binding to nerve receptors, activating them and causing them to discharge/fire. Many of these nerves are below the skin, giving a prickling/pins-and-needles sensation. This sensation begins approximately 15-20 minutes after ingesting beta-alanine and usually continues for 1-1.5 hours. The intensity varies depending on dosing, individual sensitivity and potentially from activators of Ca2+ channels, such as caffeine.

This sensation, though generally enjoyed, often subsides over a few weeks of continued use. Carbohydrates/food may also blunt the prickling effect from beta-alanine.

This is taken directly from the FAQ for IntraXCell which is Beta Alanine product.

    FAQ is here Q: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=890283

i didn't think the human body was suppose to tingle unless it trying to tell you something is wrong. will this continuation of the tingling effect multiple times a week actually damage nerves in the long run?
