Hi guys!
First of all this is a wonderful forum you guys have here and a great community! So here's my deal:
I'm 18 and just recently moved to the Philippines and I landed a job as a male model. I just auditioned for a position on Bench (clothing company) underwear line and managed to get in even while been slightly over weight! Which is awesome. They loved me but told me that I need to pull in my waist for the show so I can have (a bare minimum) flat stomach.
Now I've been working out on and off for the last two years, and have been totally ignoring correct nutrition and eating what ever I want. Thankfully I used to do a lot of push ups and sit ups but nothing worthy of this site.
Anyway the show is on the 22nd of July and I need to LOSE a fair amount and need some advice. Im currently 6'0.0" (1.83 m), 174 lb (79.1 kg), and 19.2 % Body fat. I really need to pull those figures down (well not the height).
I'm not totally sure what BF% ill need to get to where my abs can start showing through (thats the most important thing for this month). I need to know if my target (maybe around 10 or less BF%) is realistic, possible and safe!
If it isn't safe, what sort of dangers am I looking at here? Because this is my job I can dedicate everyday to working out. So far I've been cramming nutritional info into my head across this site. I know that I should be eating between 1000-500 cals less than my regular BMR. Is that enough is what im worried about?
What sort of diets/nutrition plans should I be researching?
This is me now total relax and pushing out my stomach (basically the worst I could look):
I really want this job so I'm willing to put myself through hell/Heaven!
Thanks In advance!
