Doing keto for about 4 days now.. love it.. but I'm ALWAYS hungry. Isn't it supposed to be the opposite? I eat 7-8 meals a day and could eat more. I have to stay busy to stop thinking about eating. if I sit still ill literally get hungry every 10 minutes.
any ideas?
supplements??
fish oil caps?

7-8 meals? That's overkill if you ask me. Hell the most I'd go is 5, although I do intermittent fasting and eat twice a day. Eat more, less often. I'd say eat 3 decent meals, rather than a bunch of small ones. If you eat that much, too little, too often, you're just starving yourself over a period of time. It's better to eat plenty with less meals. Also if that doesn't work, up your fats, and keep your protein at it's optimal level for your body.

Sorry for the double post, but I will agree it is all in your head. I've been doing intermittent fasting for a little over a month now, and I definitely had hunger pangs. Hell I've done 36 hour fasts and I've had them pretty bad, but honestly it's all in your head. If you don't give into it, your body realizes that, and just gives up and you go back to feeling normal. I won't go in here going on about fasting, but if you're hungry often, then you need to eat more in less meals.

Yes, a lot of it is in your head. It normally takes about a week or so for keto to really kick in.
I suggest Eating 6 meals a day, anymore than that and you'll be getting so little food at once that it won't seem like eating.
Once you get the hang of keto, trust me, there will be days where you have to force yourself to eat.
Appetite? What's that? LOL
I know many might view this as unhealthy, but there are some days when i do keto that I literally live on Protein Shakes and Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, because I simply don't feel like eating, and alternating the shakes with EVOO just seems to work out for me.
Today, I lost 3 lbs. Keep in mind that last night I weighed 292 (down from 420lbs) and tonight I weighed 289. The point is - if **I** can totally gain control over an out-of-control eating problem - we're talking about a guy who could down 4 Big Macs and 2 large fries like it's nothing - then you'll definitely be able to do it - just give yourself the time to really get into it, and study everything that you can about keto. There are some great articles here on bodybuilding.com about it.

lol I was 25% when I started!!! that was years ago.
Pretty sure I had my BF % taken with calipers by a trainer at the gym a couple weeks ago and it was 13.3%
If you want I can take a picture of the sheet from the gym that has it written on it and post that when I get home lol
Trust me, I was surprised too. But 20% is a little overboard. The only real fat I have left is the gut and a tiny bit on my inner thighs.Common Sense Crew
