oh my yes, salt and pepper calamari is one of my favourites - especially with lashings of aoli FTW! very tricky to get right though - there is a great pescetarian restaurant in chch called duxdelux www.thedux.co.nz where I have had the best in my life and also some true disappointments!

hey amj..well, you got me started with the idea of CC as a sweet treat and kitebean had a pic of hers in here...her actual recipe is in this thread....i think the only thing i did diff is that i don't have any psycillium(sp) or stevia
i just blend 3/4c CC
70g frozen razz-berries
a touch vanilla
2-3 splenda pkts (don't have any stevia)
put it in the freezer for about 1-2 hr..then mix it up and it's like soft serve ice cream.....
i must say it IS a bugger to blend...i've used both a blender and a prossesor and ya just have to work it...if it gets too stuck i add a bit of pre-made protein shake...just a bit
now i'll have to go back and check your recipe cuz i got the blender and prossesor ready for new goodies...

Right now it doesn't matter what the results will be.
Whats more important is that you test the waters. You share the story.. you add a different aspect to your recovery..

Just wondering...are the meals you guys make all single meals or for the rest of the family/partners as well? I have learnt that I am a visual person because of this thread...I 'read' food posts in journals but this thread really changes those posts for me.

Probably 5 or 4 out of a weeks worth of dinnertime meals will be for both of us - but I will slightly alter them for Colin, for example cook the fish with some olive oil, serve it with a side of grain, eg rice or quinoa - use liberal amounts of yummy pesto and cheese, or more carby veg like parsnip or carrot or more kumara, marinate his salmon in manis ketchup (the most glorious sweet soy sauce )... of course he gets bigger portions. As we are both pescatarians it's quite simple to make amendments/additions rather than cooking something completely different.
I can tuna
1 table spoon fat free ranch dressing
1 quarter avacado mashed
salt pepper
various spices
minced onions on top
sliced tomatoes, baby carrots, red grapes and almonds on the side.
