I wanted to get a spinner bike, like an exercise bike type thing, I those would be good for warm-ups and cool down, or if you have the money or get lucky on CL, the C2rowers are really nice.

Yep, a spinner bike is a very good choice if biking is your thing. I picked up a used Star Trak for $260 total on ebay.

A good pair of running shoes, a decent jump rope, and desire. All the cardio your going to need unless you live someplace cold. Love em or hate em, I still swear by a nordic track for quality cardio if you MUST be indoors.

How about a real bicycle? Much more fun than exercise bike.
I ride mine all the time.
I've got a 10, 15, 20 mile courses mapped out, depending on how much time I have(and if I'm doing squats next day..lol).

Cheap: Jump rope.
Moderate: Punching bag and gloves.
Ballin': A REAL bike.

I love my jump ropes. I bought a beaded one 6 weeks ago, then a week later after having totaled it, i bought a nice wired weighted rope. I know running and jump roping can get old and to have a change up is nice, so I'd say a nordic track or rowing machine. I personally want a rowing machine :-P don't ask!

Yeah, a rowing machine is good but I always struggled to do rowing post workout. I was on a five day split and did cardio post workout, and never did rowing as in general rowing incorporated at least one of the muscle groups I'd used that day.
I'm doing Rippetoes now, so choice of cardio is easier on off days. I still prefer jump rope

They don't have treadmills and ellipticals at ur gym? I always run to get in my cardio. You oughta buy an mp3 player and go for a jog. I put in some earbuds and I'm ready to go. It'd save you money too.
