I also had to have a female do my neckerchief for me back in C school. lmao. I still get complements on how perfect it is.

one time i got asked about what a LCDR wears, and i remember in the book it looked bronze and i remembered by picture so i was like A LCDR Wears one Bronze oak leaf cluster.. the chief was like WHAT THE **** .. THE DONT EVEN GIVE ME BRONZE

One time at boot we were having those "division discussions" and our female RDC let us ask questions. I was at medical previously that day and I told her, "Petty Officer, I saw a female sitting behind the counter with her uniform shirt untucked, what a dirtbag..."

That's when I first found out how pregnant female Sailors wear their uniform, lolz

Yeah, pretty much... The 1st 2 years were various schools and the last 4 were 'haze-grey'...

Pretty much. After a 18 months of schools, it was two years in Diego Garcia (middle of the Indian Ocean), then three years in Hawaii.

Physically "overseas", but not really from the cultural point of view

They taught me how to make my rack. But I think they expect you to know how to iron! They didn't teach us that.

They will teach you how to do everything they expect you to do - exactly the way they expect you to do it.

The goal isn't "be able to make your rack", it's "be able to follow directions and pay attention to detail".
