Warrant Officer Flight Training Program -- Army
Anyone do this? I'm looking into most likely going to follow through but I'm a little curious as to what it entails.

i wish i would have but i did rotc instead.
from all the guys i talked to, flew with, etc,it is just awesome. basically flight warrants are the most experienced pilots and teach others when they have the time in, instead of dealing with alot of the bs like NCOs and commissioned officers have to put up with.
edit: crap i just noticed the date of the op.

I wasn't in the Army, but from what I've heard it's EXTREMELY competitive. It's the only pilot position in the military that you can get to without a degree, and there are a **** load of people in the mliitary that want to fly but don't have a degree. You do the math.

If I recall correctly, you must be either A) enlisted, or B) officer to become a warrant. It is more typical for warrants to come from the enlisted side, though it is not unheard of to have Army Captains/Majors/etc... resign their commission to become warrants in order to remain in the cockpit since WOs do most of the flying in the Army.
