Some questions..
1. How do you talk through the N810..using skype? Do you plugin a microphone or?
2. If you're bluetoothed to another phone..does that mean you're subscribed to a cellular provider (verizon etc) on the other phone?
3. how do you think people (resellers) are gonna work around the in-store activation for the new iphone?

So I was going through some old stuff and found my old Treo 650, so I decided to throw my sim card in it to see if it still worked and it does.. I always loved these things.
Took some paint to it today because I was bored, took it apart.. painted the shell, and put it back together.
for a first go.. it doesnt look all that bad.. Now what to do with t his thing..

I currently have a Dell running some variant of VxWorks. Works fine for media, notes, and some other basic functions, but can't do serial terminal or many other tricks electrical engineers really like. No ODF support either, which means the notes have to be translated to ASCII and back. Quite a shame, as the hardware is actually quite capable of lots of things. If I knew how, I would port Linux to it.
The ASUS EEE (7" version, as the larger ones are just small laptops) looks quite interesting as it can run any software that can run on a somewhat older PC (which translates to all but the most demanding), but I don't have a need for it since I just use a laptop for what my PDA cannot do.Proud to be an electrical engineer and a hypermiler.

It has a built in speakerphone or I can use the factory headset or a bluetooth one.
Yes, I have Verizon on my Razr. I pair it with my Nokia and basically steal the web from it.
I apologize that I'm not familiar with your last question but couldn't you just flash (that is the word used for CDMA) it and it would be unlocked? Then apply the SIM card and you are good, right? I haven't had GSM in a long time.
FOUND OUT YESTERDAY THAT THE INSTINCTS PRICE IS $129.99 WITH 2 YEAR AGREEMENT

Well its only planned for CDMA so far, but it has a built in GSM chip for international use, so hopefully it gets fully unlocked when it comes out. But like we were talking about earlier, its fully touchscreen and I'm not too sure I like that, but RIM does their **** well so I'll definitely keep checking updates and check it out when it drops. Its coming in about 2 months I think

Rumor has it they changed the price 3 times over the last 2 weeks to be competitive. I got mine today, still playing with it so no word on how I like it yet.
I have to say though that the dealers were wholly unprepared for it though. 1 dealer had no idea an email even went out and hadn't seen it, didn't have any units. The one I finally found one at their syncing wasn't compatible with the Instinct yet, so I had to move everything over myself.eRepublik Game:

Exactly. That is what sucks about CDMA. People will chat in want to swap a phone and I get an error. I ask the customer where they purchased a phone and they will say ebay or craigslist. I have to tell them that I can't do it until the owner releases it from their account, which is usually a huge hassle, and I get bad issue resolution scores.

I love it. The only thing is, it is a Touch Pro without the keyboard. I have to have a physical keyboard as I said earlier but HTC makes good ****, plain and simple. With what they have coming out next year, they are going to revolutionize the way we communicate.
Check out the Nokia E71:
I love this as well. I am a huge fan Nokia and even a bigger fan of their N and E series. The E71 is the thinest phone ever made with a qwerty keyboard. That is pretty impressive.

I know. It is an amazing device though.
Video conferencing, all office docs, bluetooth printing, 16,000,000 colors, qwerty keyboard with dedicated function keys... oh, and I think it sends text messages too. lol
I have been saving to buy my girl one. I'm going to get it in the next 2-3 weeks. She has GSM.
