Do you guys count the weight from the bar? For example if you have a bar that weights 20lbs and your bench pressing 100lbs, do you guys count it as 120lbs bench press or just 100lbs?

Last time I checked the plates were not slid on a bar made of oxygen. The bar is weight that must be lifted like anything else so why you not count it?
Let me ask you this. If you're lifting 2 45's using a 200lb bar how much weight are you lifting?

Some people do some dont. I dont because my bar weight does'nt mean anything to me. Unless someone I know wants to compare weight lifts. 100bs. is 100lbs. another 20 isnt worth keeping track of.

Yeah, some people say "I benched 4 plates" meaning 4x45lbs on a 45lb bar, for a total of 225lbs.
Then you try for 6 plates, being 6x45lbs on a 45lb bar, for a 315 bench, which is quite a lot.
It depends, but you always count the weight of the bar...[]---[] Equipment Crew #6 []---[]

I never get why people wouldnt count the bar weight, you have to lift it, therefore you count it.

Keep track of the bar weight
