Serge Nubret, BodyBuilding Legend
Hi guys, well it seems a thread can only get so big. the old thread is here:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=972997
Serge's training program is on page 9 of this thread, and for anyone new to serge's routine, we recommend you read through this thread as it will more than likely answer 95% percent of your question.
hopefully one of Serge's students, Ck24 Hcshao can provide a summary
anyways, let's get this started again.
This thread is for asking Serge Nubret bodybuilding questions, and it is highly recommend to read through the old thread first. also any question that have previously been answered by Serge will be answered by either myself, muscle pavel, and every other user that has been following Serge's routine and the old Serge thread
so then questions for Serge?

Just goes to show you how popular the master is. I doubt the folks at bodybuilding.com have had to close a threat to often because it had grown to large

Yeah, I did my daily check on Serge's thread and was surprised to find it locked! I can understand the reasoning though... I guess it's actually kind of an achievement to have exceeded BB.com's maximum thread length.
We just have to make sure everyone finds the new thread... especially Serge, lol.
Roxie, maybe you could also edit your last post in the old thread to include a link to this new one?

Its good to have you back Serge, how amazing it is that your other thread grew so big, all the other pro's on here and no thread got even close. I have a feeling that soon enough we'll have to make a 3rd thread cause this one will get so large too.

I think the best thing to do is to put ths training program here on page 1, so when new people come we dont have to redirect them to page 9 of the old thread.
So here it is......

It is awesome that it grew so big.
I have a new question for Serge.
When doing the situps for abdominals is it best to do as many as I can in a row and add some each day? Or is it okay if I break it up and do 5 sets of 25 or something like that?
I find that I might be able to do 100 but if I rest for a minute I could do 50 more. Should I do the 50 more or should I stop at the 100 and try to do 105 the next day?
Thanks,
TVbuster

You are the one who came here first and gave us HOPE. We're all thankful to you, and maybe there will be so much people addicted to your 'pump workout' that 'modern' bodybuilding and freaks will disappear.
Every beginner should read the old thread first. Then those rookies will learn what they need and will become intermediates.
The new thread is just the proof that a lot of people appreciate you.
edit : I liked the old title "Serge Nubret is Up in Here", at first it sounded too good to be true.

I trained my abs everyday. But what I will tell you here maybe will stop you.
I started with 100 situps non stop, then every morning I did 10 more reps for one month = 400 situps non stop, after I jumped to 25 situps more every day, untill I reached 2000 situps in one hours, and then I try to do those 2000 situps faster and faster. Some seconds less every day.

Serge always said to do as much as you can. start of 50 add 1 every day for the 1st month, then 5 next month, then 10, 20 and o on until you are doing 2000, or doing abs for one hour straight. remember, you aren't so much working abs for abs, it's more like cardio.

Yes, the key is to add more repetitions everyday, not necessarily 5, 10 or 20, even 1repetition added each day means you're progressing.

lol, i was thinking pretty hard on what to call the new thread, decided to go with something simple and to the point. now that i think about it more, probably should have put something like 'Nubretize here','Saving Bodybuilding'
or something along the lines of how Serge is trying to change things for the better. Serge, what would you like the thread to be called? i think we can get a mod 2 change it.

I think I was one of the first guys who saw that the old thread was closed, and I thought I could create a new one immediately. But the title was the problem, which title would you give to one of the best threads.
When I saw you created one and named it "Serge Nubret, bodybuilding legend", I thought it was pretty good. So, "No", you shouldn't change the title, IMO.

Serge,
I have a question that has been bothering me for a very long time and I am very much hoping that you might be able to give me some advice.
When I was younger I over developed my obliques and as a result I can't seem to work my abs without my obliques taking over during the exercise, particularly when trying to work lower abs.
I really don't want large obliques as I want a small waist.
Can you give me any advice or perhaps suggest some certain exercises to solve the problem?
Thank you very much for taking the time to read and reply, you have always been my all time favorite bodybuilder and getting some advice from you would totally make my day!

We should all put together some kind of event when the master himself comes to America. All of us students should have a dinner and a workout with him somewhere.

For your MIND it's better to do only one set and add more reps every day. This way you break your reccord every single day and fell happy about it.
