Long term effects of low body fat??

I just had a concern that I was hoping someone could help me with. I began training hard in April of 2007. By August I had dropped my bodyfat % to below 8% and had stopped menstruating. I competed in Oct of 2007 at approx 4% bodyfat and again at the end of November maintaining about the same bodyfat levels. I finally began getting regular periods almost immediately after the November show and did not compete again until May 24th 2008, 6 months later. That allowed me a 3 month off season. My body fat% never reached above about 11% in the off season but I was still menstruating. I am competing at the end of this month (June 21, 2008), with no menstruation and am at about 5% body fat. I know that irregular periods are normal as well as the mood swings, which I'm sure everyone knows about lol but I just want to make sure that there will be no long term damage done to me (fertility problems, hormonal problems, etc) If anyone could help me out that would be great.
thanks!!
Renee
