i remember i was on a mission in that game where i had to enter the farmhouse and convince the farmer to let me pass. only his underage daughter was home so i persuaded her to have sex with me then the father came home early and got pissed off so i killed him with a shotgun. the girl started freaking out so i raped her and burned down the house.

then i became a pornstar and got aids.

For one thing, theres FMV. Yes, in the good old days, the graphics would stay the same throughout, and all non-interactive conversations and scenes would use regular gaming graphics. But FFVII and later FFVIII adopted that godawful practice of putting movies into the middle of games. Evidence that these games favor graphics over everything else, since FMVs invariably ruin the game. Plus, even the regular in-game graphics use 3D polygons. Anyone who would spend that much effort on graphics doesn?t care about any other aspect of the game.

Storyline is another problem. FFVII and FFVIII feature lame, boring plots filled with shallow characters. Remember, I?m a true RPG fan (yes Baldur's gate), so I know what a good RPG story is. If you praise these plots, you obviously have no clue what a REAL storyline is like. Any hardcore gamer knows that Baldur's gate 1 and 2 have stories that are superior in every possible way.

As if Square hadn?t proved its intentions already, FFVIII makes them totally clear. FFVIII gets rid of all the things that make an RPG an RPG, like required level-building, armor, and money from monsters. Square is trying to tell a whole generation of trendies who don?t know any better that you can have an RPG without these things. The RPG market is becoming filled with idiots who think that you can have an RPG without armor! These games will destroy RPGs as we know them. Those of us who have been around from the beginning are the ones who suffer. As you know, I?m a real fan - I can tell that the Final Fantasy series is going downhill, and soon there will be nothing left for true fans like me. If anyone reading this is a true fan like me, let?s take a stand. Don?t allow the trendy ?fans? and their trendy excuses for Final Fantasy games to destroy RPG gaming. Show that world that we hardcore gamers know the difference between a good game and a bad one. Let the world know that Final Fantasy sucks! It?s the truth, and no one can possibly deny it.

I never played any of the BG series (Diablo 2 is the only rpg I played on my comp), but there is no denying that the FF series is one of the greatest rpg series ever.

dude i played bg when I was like...11-13 and,
