Hey guys,
Is Kashi cereal an acceptable substitude for oatmeal when cutting?
The nutrition info for the 7 Whole Grain Puffed Cereal is as follows (I would eat it dry so this is the info for the cereal alone, without milk):
Serving size: 1 cup / 20 grams
80 cals
Fat: 0.5g
Carbohydrate: 16g (2g fiber, 0g sugar, 14g starch)
Protein: 3g
Link to info: http://www.kashi.ca/whole-grain.aspx
Are the 14g starch something to be concerned about?
Also, how bad (in terms of impacting results for someone who is cutting but not competing) is reduced sugar instant oatmeal? I don't have the nutrition info for the one I usually eat with me, but if I recall correctly it has 24g carbs, 4g of it coming from sugar.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys!
I was thinking Kashi because I've started going to work straight from the gym and I thought it'd taste better than cold oatmeal.
If I stick with the oatmeal instead, is the reduced sugar instant oatmeal (1 packet) okay if it fits into my macros?
I am not competing - ever, lol - just looking to lose the chunk of weight I gained when I was having some health issues. Will that choice of oatmeal interfere with my results?
trainwithrae, if I'm just dieting for personal reasons should the Kashi still be kept as a treat in your opinion? Is the starch something to be concerned about?
TIA!
