Sad video of an earthquake victim who dies after being rescued(Eng Sub)
Thought I'd share, sorry if it's a repost:-
This 26 year old man's name is Chen Jian. He was buried under three concrete slabs for 73 hours before he was found. He told the reporter that he wants to live because his wife is pregnant and he doesn't want his child born without the father. After 6 hours of hardwork, he was pulled out from the rubble, only to die shortly after

what happened over there was freaking tragic but for some reason, US media is not taking interest

Not sure about that sorry. But what made me touched was the fact that his guy survived for 3 days buried under tons of rubble, without food and minimal water and all he could think of was his pregnant wife and unborn child. Amazing guy.

There was one more case during the China earthquake, but it was too gruesome to be posted on Youtube. They found the body of a young woman under the rubble with her skull and legs crushed in a bent over position. And under the woman's corpse was her baby which was amazingly still alive and sleeping.
The doctor who arrived at the scene found a handphone beside the baby. And on the handphone, translated from Chinese, there was a message typed saying, "If you can see this message, hope that you know I love you so much". A mom's last message to her child.

i understand he was under some concrete slabs, but when they removed it he passed away? was the pressure keeping him alive or something along those lines? I mean, he must've been in a lot of pain but he seemed to be in a good state before he died (good state meaning, looked like he was going to live)

Internal bleeding, crush injuries, massive shock. Could be adrenaline was the only thing keeping him alive.
Btw, can any of you guys explain this? Weird colors in the sky 30 mins before the earthquake?
Bizarre colorful (luminous/glowing) cloud phenomenon in the sky was observed about 30 mins before the May 12, 2008 Sichuan earthquake took place. This was recorded in Tianshui, Gansu province ~450km northeast of epicenter, by someone using a cell phone.
