Push Day
Hard push day, intense workout...my shoulders were nagging me a little, I'll have to keep an eye on that. Ever since I lowered my fish oil intake, my joints have been aching a bit more than usual...I think I'm going to bump them back up and see what happens.
Flat BB Press - Sets (10/8/6/4) Weight (135/155/155/175)
Flat DB Press - Sets (10/8/6/4) Weight (40's/50's/60's/70's)
Incline DB Flyes - Sets (10/8/6) Weight (40's/50's/60's)
Bench Dips - Sets (10/8/6) Weight (BW/10's/20's)
Skull Crushers - Sets (10/8/6) Weight (20's/30's/40's)
Pushups - 50
Solid workout, pain pain pain. Strength was up, weight was up, and I'll post measurements as soon as the bodyspace profiles aren't all messed up.

Update
The Workout: Shoulders/Arms
Shoulder Press Supersetted w/Upright Rows - Sets (10/8/6) Weight (85/90/95)
Standing BB Curls Supersetted with Triceps Press Down - Sets (10/8/6) Weight (65/75/85)
Triset of BB Shrugs, DB Flyes, DB Incline Curlups - Sets (12/10/8) Weight: Shrugs (155/175) DB Flyes (30/35/40) Incline DB Curlups (25/35/45)
Duration: 60 minutes (Including stretching/warmup/cooldown)
Positives: I felt excellent, I had great energy and strength throughout the workout, and good pumps were a nice (although useless) side effect. Quality mind/muscle connection, DECENT form, and my strength went up slightly since the last workout.
Negatives: I still have shoulder pain (joint pain) ever since dropping out the fish oil...it might not be the fish oil at all, it may be a problem with form, so I'll have to keep my eye on that. The shoulder pain affected my overall strength/workout intensity/form, and I wasn't pleased with that. I also slacked at one point due to the presence of a gorgeous woman on one of the eliptical machines...damn, you have to keep your head in the game.
Thoughts: Overall it was a decent workout, but I need my strength back, and I need to maximize workout time.
The workout was a B+
The woman was an A
Fun fact: For men, staring at a beautiful woman has the same effect on the brain as feeding a drug addiction does.

Booyah also would have sufficed!
In other news...
My mom is considering the stomach ring surgery. She's been overweight for about 20 years now, and she hasn't been able to lose the weight. I've tried to convince her that it's her diet/training but she is set on the surgery. I'm a little dissapointed in her actually...it seems like a lazy person's way out.
Anyway, has anyone had this surgery, or does anyone know someone (friend, family member) who has gone through this experience? I'm trying to know what to expect so A. I can be prepared B. I can help my mom through the 4-6 week post surgery recovery time.

Well you speak of a huge fat gain, in your pics you are not fat, so we are wondering what is going on ya know?
I know that when I was younger and battled anorexia a little bit of fat gain would scare the crap out of me... it look a long time to realize that the gain was a good gain, for I was emaciated before.bb.com....more drama than a jr high school girls bathroom---Buckeyemuscle

Perhaps it is more in my head than anything else. Nothing's really changed since the last pictures except I have noticed more muscle definition. I think it's a combination of my own semi warped view of myself coupled with the fact that I took the words of coworkers (who know nothing about bbing) too seriously.

Leg Day
The Workout: Legs
Back Squats - Sets (15/12/10/8) Weight (165/185/205/215)
Leg Press - Sets (10/8/6) Weight (370/390/410)
OH Lunges - Sets (10/10/10) Weight (Olympic Bar)
SL Dead Lifts - Sets (10/10/10) Weight (75/95/115)
Calf Raises - Sets (16/16/16) Weight (200/220/240)
Duration: 60 minutes (Including stretching/warmup/cooldown)
Positives: Decent form overall, and my strength was marginally up. Good intensity, minimal rest time...excellent volume. My legs also seared after the workout, always a great feeling.
Negatives: Very annoyed by a stomach ache that limited some strength/form. This was most likely caused by a lack of sleep coupled with eating too much, too close to a workout. A VERY disgusting feeling. Also, I came up on my toes during one of my back squats...nearly threw my back out...YIKES.
Thoughts: Solid workout, I definitely got the job done, but I need more sleep, and I need to let my food digest a little before rushing off to the gym. My form needs to be PERFECT, because I will not accept anything less...A back injury might set me back for life...I'm NOT having it.
The workout was an A-

more than 7lb's is lbm im sure... but man are you going to have one hell of a cut coming up after this bulk... and you will end up losing a lot of lbm (yes you lose muscle even when fat loss is optimal and slow). Should cut back on calories a little or change something about your diet or start doing more cardio/training harder or something.... your results, although dramatic, may be a little rushed. you could have put on 30lb's in the same amount of time and had it be almost all lean mass i bet.... you look like you put on weight pretty easily (endo), and you should be watching fat gains more closely. I subscribe to the bulk bulk bulk for a 6-8 week period and then lose 2-3 lbs of fat over 1-2 weeks then bulk (always as clean as possible) for 6-8 weeks. We started at similar places actually and have similar body types probably (lost a lot of weight and gained a good piece of weight). i went from 235 to 160 and since december have gotten to 185 at single digit bf (leaner than i was at 160). I just feel that you could have probably done the same if you had approached the nutrition side a little better. I also did cardio all through my weight gain and didnt buy into "cardio will make it impossible to gain muscle". My advice would be to spend less time on the boards getting ideas or beliefs about what works and what doesn't and spend more time in the gym and kitchen and in front of the mirror deciding what works for YOU. Remember that there are a lot more hardgainers out there getting advice on becoming big than there are endo's.... start cutting now before you put on anymore weight that you end up having to lose later on

I can honestly say that I overblew exactly how much fat I've put on, and I'm much more comfortable with it now. A lot of the weight I put back on was LBM due to the fact that my body was SEVERELY underweight and malnourished. My diet is a work in progress, and I've learned that carbs can be very helpful, but can also be very harmful (being an endo). I'm going to keep bulking until May 1st or so, when I begin my next log

you keep saying that "a lot of it is LBM".... well of course a lot of that is going to be lean body mass... i seem to remember reading about a study where the people ate nothing but mcdonalds for a couple of months and gained a ton of weight and something like 30% of the weight gained was muscle or something (no weight lifting program in place). a "lot" is a relative term when u are talking about bulking and lbm/fat gain. i consider a LOT of lean body mass as 80%+ on something like this... you look like you probably put on about 50/50 lbm and body fat. You coulda put on that 25lb's of muscle without all the fat gain in my opinion. I agree that you were way to skinny before, but i think you overdid the bulk personally and are dramatically underestimating the amount of fat you put on with the bulk. you could have done a 4 month slow bulk and put on 20lbs of muscle... now you will have a 3 month- 4 month cut coming up after this.... pretty much making your gains take twice as long to come out.

I understand what you're saying, but in my mental state, I was not ready to count every single calorie. I had to let the control go in order to stay sane. I don't think I've put on 30lbs of fat either. I don't plan on a full blown all out muscle loss cut either, I plan on taking it slow. It's not a race...I'll be fine.
