it's pretty obvious, he was very protective of her and the one person he didn't want to boink her was a huge coke dealer obviously, who wants their sister to go out with a drug dealer?
she represents the only good in his life and as long as she is okay then there is always that hope that he can be good too. So when she falls in love with his best friend Tony realizes that he has corrupted the only good thing in his life and now his life it completely corrupt too. He failed everyone.

No way hes going to approach Tony Montana and tell him hes in love w/ his sister. It looked to be true love tho, w/ them getting married and all. So it was just a tuff situation for all parties involved. Even though Tony shot the man I still felt bad for Tony, lol. You could tell that killed him inside when Gina told him they were getting married.
