Post How do you cardio?

My goal right now is to put on lean muscle mass. All the while, I do want to maintain a lean look without my cardio cutting into my workout too much. Anybody with the same goals? And where does cardio fit into your weekly workout agenda?

I currently do HIIT 3 times a week. It only takes 20-30 minutes.

Your cardio must be compatible w/ weightlifting, and therefor must be low impact. Strongman training and/or walking fit the bill, and will only serve to make you stronger, leaner, and healthier.

For my cardio I do kettlebell swings or snatches, sandbag training, tire pulling, intervals at 10 mph on the treadmill 1 min. on/ 1 min. off.
The kettlebells and sandbags might be right up your alley because you're still building strength and working your cardio while building muscle. The whole idea some people have that you can't build muscle and burn fat together is a myth.

Like others said, depends on goals but diet also plays a hgue role in how you perform your cardio. HITT cardio is more anaerobic then aerobic because like weight lifting, you exert the maximum force that that short period of time, rest, and then repeat. withthis in mind, HITT cardio utilizes glucose as its main source of energy, not fat, but the fat burning effects are overall better because of its effect on elevated metabolism and the ability to burn more calories in less time. I love HITT personally. If u have a preworkout protien/carb meal, just do the 15-20 min of HITT immideatly postworkout, then guzzle down yoru shake/meal. Never do HITT on an emtpy stomach like in hte mroning, as it can have a negative, catabolic afffect on the body becaue u will simply not use fat for energy that easy, and 2, it would feel horrible. Leave hte long-duration-low-intensity cardio(45-60 min of walking/jogging) for morning as this doenst require NO where as much glucose as HITT does. Take som glutamine/bcaas/caffeiene/carnitine to keep cortisol/catabolic hormones down to protect muscle and enhance fat burning. As for HITT, right after the weights i chase 5grams of glutamine and bcaa and wait 2-3 minutes to wash it down with water, and then i kill myself on the eliptical.

Talking Cardio

I do cardio 3-4 times a week. I try to switch up HIIT and more endurance. For the HIIT, I do medicine ball sprints and sand sprints. I like to throw in medicine balls on most of my HIIT exercises. I feel it really makes you push that much more. For endurance, I run a few miles or cycle. Important thing is to switch it up.

how do you cardio??
i jus dont...im lazy :'(

High intensity interval training is good for imncreasing cardiovascular strength but can cause lactic acid build up in the muscles used

to lose fat you wana be doing traditional cardio, 60 - 80% effort fro 30 mins to an hour
