I throw spinning sh*t
Decent Website
The name kind of makes it easy to find, but I think it contains a lot of info that helps to decide if you want to be a trainer or not, and breaks it into simple steps:

"The sun is always gonna rise, and always gonna set and I'll just keep on punching because everyday is gonna bring something different and I just want to be ready for it."

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

Don't worry about it HG.
The people who need to find clear cut information without opinionated fluff will be able to find it on the link.
They can go look for themselves & see.
Special thanks to HardGainer82.

I dislike intensely, loathe, detest, abhor, abominate, anathematize, object to, recoil from, and on the good days allergic to, spit upon, & unlove...

haha - wasn't meant to blast you - don't take offense!
Just a lot of the info on PT is BS - it's written by people that try to translate other business and consulting knowledge to this one -
True, some of that info is very useful - but this field is very unique and a lot of those same rules don't apply -
I checked out that site you linked to - they dance around a lot of subjects but don't get to the heart of the matter -
How to get high value clients -
How to get the fu*k out of the pathetic sales environments in the health clubs -
How to really enjoy your job -
How to set-up your career so there's room for progression -
How to understand the thinking of a training client and deliver the real value they're looking for -
These are the most important subjects - the trainers that "get-it" almost effortlessly make over six-figures in a short number of hours -
The trainers that don't get it are stuck looking for jobs (I hate that word) in health-clubs, getting raped by ownership, and trying to make "sales" (hate that word too) -
They float around this profession for a few years and then decide it sucks and quit -
Which is really a shame because this is the best profession there is -
Sorry if that was too much fluff -

at 40 years old, I hate to ever cop out on stuff. I truly believe we can all learn and improve ourselves etc.
but as far as what u speak of above, "getting it", and the things I see others speak of....Im pretty close to copping out and saying "you have to be born with it".
or u have to be raised in a money environment to understand how to speak the language of $$$ to attract money.
So far I have absolutely not been able to learn that skill. Like I said, im pretty close to copping out and saying you are either born with it or u learn it at a young age, or u end up on the outside looking in.
I have always hated the term mentor...but id be willing at this point to actually be mentored, just to see if its humanly possible for a leopard to change its spots.

Hey if I had product to push I'd be pushing it too, man. No shame in that.

ive been spending a lot of time on ksera's site lately and in the works of writing my take/review on it.
Its bar none one of the best sites around for helping you succeed in the PT business. Anyone who says otherwise can log off this forum and get back in the squat rack for another set of barbell curls.
You aren't "born" with the ability to sell and to appeal to people. Look the look and talk the talk and you can succeed just fine. Read his "Whistle Blower Report" for some tips on that.

Thanks for the endorsement man -
But don't kick anyone off the forum for not liking it -
I could have just put all of the info on Super-Trainer out there cut and dry; but no, it's meant to motivate or piss-off, depending on the person -
Some people have said it's done real good things for them - made them make hard decisions - you don't know how many people have decided to stop bull****ting and jump in the pool in the business because of this site - I personally think this isn't cause of me, but the fact that some of the big names in the business drop the pretense and tell it like it is in my interviews -
But because of all the emotion I put into it, there are some people that hate every part of it - I have heard one such review and I'm sure there are many more that kindly respect my feelings -
But I guess that since some of the best people in the industry like Gunnar Peterson and Mike Boyle have decided to be on says something -
It's like this - you can keep recycling the "company line" all you want - or if you've been through the ringer like I have, and come out the other side to see some light, you can tell the unique things you've learned that noone else admits, but when you look around, really make sense -
"Do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life" - either Confucius or the Dalai Lama - I get them confused -
