Shortee can do it!
Hello everyone,
My name is Lynn, and I decided to start journaling my efforts to achieving MY perfect self.
A little bit about me: I was always very active, I started lifting when I was around 17 and always enjoyed the way it made me feel. I am 24 now and about 10 months ago moved to NYC from Montreal, Ca. This new life cause something to happen, I suddenly turned to food to fill a void, to fill what I was missing from my previous life i.e family friends etc. Things spiralled out of control and I developed a binge eating disorder then quickly gained about 10 lbs. I was miserable, I couldnt fit into any of my clothes, then one day I decided it was enough. I needed to make my life better no matter what city I was living in.
It's been about 4 months since my last binge, I lost the weight I gained. Now I have new goals, to be the best I can be, to get into the best shape of my life and possibly compete in a fitness competition.
The reason for this journal is so I can be held accountable for my actions, and prevent that cycle of bad habits. I want to stay motivated, and hear all your thoughts and opinions. This is a great community of people, and I love the fact that everyone is so supportive with each other. I LOVE YOU ALL!
My stats:
Height : 5'1
Weight: 113
BF: not really sure
My workouts
5x a week cardio for 45-60 steady state or intervals on treadmill or stepmill
3x a week lift weights

Hello shorty and welcome
I'm from Montreal, so you have a little piece of home here on BB.com, hahaha!
I'll be following your progress with pleasure!
When I was younger, I wanted to move to NYC too. I didn't and now I have other dreams, but hey - congrats for making the move!

Thanks, it was a tough one! the way i overcame it was to just stay away from my trigger foods : chocolate, peanut butter, ice cream. Since im ok now I eat peanut butter and never have more than the serving size! woohoo!

Another Day
Hello everyone! how are you all doing? I have to say I am really glad i am starting this journal, it is amazing to see all the support everyone gives each other here, I got love for all of you!!
I decided to put myself out there and tell you guys more about ME and the reason for one of my goals to love myself.
In the midst of my binge eating days, I decided to go to therapy to figure out why I was turning to food, and why I was so insecure. She helped me realize alot of things about myself. I dont think I ever looked in the mirror and liked what i saw, this is something familiar to my family. My sister suffered from an eating disorder herself for 10 years. She really harmed herself, she had bulimia. My problem never became so bad like hers because I decided to nip it in the butt as they say. She is so beautiful, and even though she overcame her problem, she still hates herself deep down.
The Hazan (my last name) sisters just dont know how to love themselves, and im on a quest to change that. I think by leading a healthy lifestyle, eating clean and making myself stronger it will help me appreciate my body and finally be able to look in the mirror and say wow your f-ing hot!
I live with my bf, and he is amazing, for the sake of our relationship I need to stop being so insecure, I need to start seeing my self worth and I will get there.
Have a beautiful day!

Your goals are awesome and with all the support here you will have no problem achieving them! I am soo happy that I started a journal too.
I definitly suffer from the same things as you. You are lucky that you are taking such a pro-active stance on getting control and living a better life. Big Hugs!
