Mr. Low Bodyfat
I saw this article and thought it would be helpful for some of the people posting here.

In 2004, he hit a plateau and only lost five pounds the entire year. He knew something was wrong and began doing what he knew best -- research. He began reading everything he could about weight loss, how the body processes food and exercise regimens for Olympic athletes.
Kamdibe discovered he had to take a different approach to his diet and exercise regimen. Instead of lifting weights he used his own body weight for resistance. He also modified his extremely low-carbohydrate or no-carb diet -- and focused on how much food he was eating.

Very informative. I think that's right, and it's possible to get a good workout without lifting in excess. Your bodyweight is enough resistance to build muscle, and that carbs are not always the enemy.
Strong post bro reps.

i personally advocate lifting heavy... The big point of the article is that watching how much you eat is often the biggest key to success in weight loss and body reconstruction.
I would support they theory though that heavy lifting may lead to a stronger appetite and likely more consumption than bodyweight exercise... Hmmmm.

Interesting and somewhat bizzare. Only 4 pounds in a year? Nothing about cardio work. And it's really obvious that you have to keep the count of calories even if you're on keto/Atkins.

You plateau on Atikins after a while of eating 3 steaks, 5 pork chops and 7 chicken breasts in one sitting.

I was glad to read that. Beig 36 myself, I've been concerned about getting my weight down. While not as heavy as he was, I'm still heavier than I should be.
Thanks for the link.
