Liquid diet need!!
I"m having a problem with my jaw, it has alot of metal in it...screws mostly...I did something not sure what yet that has caused to hurt alot, I do mean alot. The nerves are seriously oversenitive right now to hot or cold, I cann't eat much anything. Eating hurts and I cann't get in to see the a doc that can help me for atleast 3 weeks. I have race in about 2 an 1/2 weeks and I need to be training right now. So I need diet help!! Protien shakes are ovious but what do I add to them?? I don't want to lose any muscle. A little fat I'd be ok with,LOL, but not muscle. So any suggestions??
I have 2 hour a day of cardio and 1 hour weightlifting and then about an hour of light cardio...How do I maintain this kind of schedule off a liquid diet??

Can you eat if you let your food cool off to room temperature? You could also put everything in a blender. Seriously. My mom did that when she had jaw surgery and her jaw was wired shut. Baked potatoes, chicken, vegetables, everything through a straw. She said it tasted just like the food, only liquid. That's the only things I can think to suggest.

I do ok with food if it's room tept and very soft.Luckily it only hurts on the left side, but still painful to chew so... like I ate a protien shake with sweet potaotes today... but whey and potatoe doesn't sound like a good diet combo??

Protein shake , banana and oats in milk - that works. Kinda think most fruits [ soft varieties ] will work. There is also a supplement [ non bodybuilding ] called pro sport by among others performance - this is lower yield protein but high vits

You could also get some MRP and drink those shakes too. Cooked oatmeal, and other soft foods like Britonarius mentioned.

Try and puree every thing you would normally eat.

MRP Meal repacements (also weightgainers)
As mentioned above oats are good, uncooked, blended to powder and mixed with milk. My weightgainer at present has no simple sugars or flavourings, just wp, oats and barley. 1 serving of 100gms dry powder equals about 27gms of protein and 450 cals, but I add a couple of bananas for flavouring or frozen berries.
Watch the mrps, some contain loads of stuff like maltodexdrin to add calories

Would it be bad to just have shakes for such a long period of time? I've decreased my training intensity *well cause it's miserable and painful* but I am still workingout.

wow....I would get into a doctor if i were you Princess. Find out what is going on. That doesn't sound right. But i am with the others...take whole foods and blend. Easiest way for it. But seriously consider looking into this. Don't want to see you messed up in any way.

I did see my regular doc he gave me antibiotics & pain killers and sent me to a specialiest, but it takes weeks to get into to see him. And in the mean time it hurts like hell and eating just makes the pain so much worse as does heat or cold.
