    Hypothyroidism and fat burners

I have read several posts about hypothyroidism and fat burners. All saying that if you have hypothyroidism you shouldn't take fat burners ( with stimulants or without). Why? Does anyone know the science behind this?

This is because of a couple of reasons. The main one being that many fat burners contain ingredients that affect thyroid function, which can be harmful in such cases. Another reason is that certain stimulants can have adverse effects on the thyroid if its function is already compromised (hypothyrodism) or if you're taking certain medications that regulate thyroid, etc....

It is probably more dangerous for people with HYPERthyroidism than it is for people with HYPOthyroidism given that people with hyperthyroidism are already overstimulated, which combined with additional stimulants can cause problems. That is not much of a problem for people with hypothyroidism, although some suggest that stimulants can fatigue the thyroid gland and make hypothyroidism worse.

I've got pretty severe hypothyroidism, and I've used EC stacks without any adverse effects. But, don't use fat burners long term......they should only be used in the short term.

thyroid problems should be treated by a doctor. Once your metabolism is stabilized then with a doctors guidance it would be safe to use fat burners.
