Quaker Weightloss Oatmeal
3 months ago I finished my last wrestling season, and decided to be involved in bodybuilding during my college years. For the past year I've been a big fan of the weightloss brand of Quaker oatmeal, and have made some recipes that are based around the instant packets. Lately I've been reading posts on oatmeal recipes, and have read some comments on how instant oatmeal is bad. I want you all to take a look at an example recipe of oatmeal that I frequently make, mind that the ingredient amounts fluctuate only slightly from time to time.
Maple syrup oatmeal
- 1 packet Maple Brown Sugar Weightloss oatmeal
- 1/2 cup to 1 cup Vanilla Enriched Rice Milk ( one ingredient that I may want to substitute, not quite sure though.)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of my oatmeal mix (30% quick oats, 25% oat bran, 30% wheat bran, 5% flax seeds, 10% almond and walnut mix)
- 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup sugar free maple syrup (Plus some drops of real maple if I feel hungry)
- Optional drops of maple syrup flavoring
I have other recipes as well, such as banana bread and raisin cinnamon. I take all that, put it in a bowl and microwave to when I feel its done (2 minutes consisting of 1 minute, 40 second and 20 second intervals). So even though I don't use just plain oats, is this recipe still legit or do I have a lot of changing to make?
