    Bowflex, while using supplements

aight just had to throw the supps in there since this is the supp forum but.......
could you actually get big using something like a bowflex? either way you exhaust the muslce right and its not on a fixed range of motion like a smith machine. So could i get just as good results with a home gym?

Yes, if you are not looking to get huge and looking for the Men's Health look than a bowflex would be great IMO. I bought one cheap just to have when i got busy and it worked fine.

I see no problem with using a bowflex. I do believe that free weights are better. But you gots to do what you gots to do.

I hate them, but only because they're not as easy as TV makes them look. Haha. It just takes some fidgeting to make them the right weight. Otherwise, they're just dumbbells.

The easy-use dumbbells are just all right, really. There are a bunch of different brands with varying quality levels.

They're too expensive, imo. Try and find them second hand somewhere though and you might be in good shape there. It's never bad to have some dumbbells around the house.

And the Bowflex is a very versatile item for getting into decent shape, just not for getting freaky big. A friend of mine used his as a starting point then got to the point that he was interested in competing, and there was obviously NO use for it at that point.

Yeah, 90's would be awesome to have around the house. Till you find them at night with your little toe. Haha.

Bowflex is ghey. Free weights dominate all. If size is an issue get a small cage.

i think the 90's is a good idea to keep in the house, they have a stand for them so u dont have to bend down and a 6 way bench (i think its a 6 way) not bad for those days its ****ty out or you got to bizzy to hit the gym. i think its well worth it if you have the exta money in your pocket. at least you have no excuse not to get some kind of wourk out that day. i have a cheepy stationary bike in my room i use it maybe once a week ( gym 5 days per) but that extra day of cardio is worth it to me . just my 2 cents

This really depends on what you mean by 'huge' and how tall you are and what model you're talking about. A lot of guys apparently are so strong they max it out. I hear about it all the time on this forum, because everyone is so damned mighty.

bowflex well help pack on some beef, but nothing beats good ol dumbells and barbells. another advantage of the bowflex is you dont need a spotter, and the range of motion is real smooth and easy to get used too.

Bowflex is good but a real BB gym with varied equipment is always far better.

NOTE ALSO : Chuck Norris only endorses the Total Gym, NOT Bowflex or anything else!
