    Fitness Boot Camps

Hey, I've been a trainer for about a year now and love it! I'm interested in running a fitness boot camp while the weather is good (live in Maine and snows like crazy in the winter). I've designed a killer program but can't seem to get the public interested. Any suggestions?

Targe a specific audience (stay at home moms).
    Charge a nominal fee.
Go around to all the day cares and post your flyers with this info on yellow paper and black writing.
Also go to the grocery store, gas station, mall etc...

    good luck.

You are very late in the year for this...

Your only option now is to try to do something through the parks department. Ideally, what you should do is plan for next year and then co-ordinate it through the school system as either a family camp or kids camp. If you want to train adults, it makes it harder as finding large groups of them that are all doing one thing can be dicey. You might try papering their windshields at a sporting event...one guy said setting up a booth at a marriage fair...that sort of thing might work as well...

    Adventure Boot Camp

    http://www.bootcampfinder.com/

Check out this site.........certification is a bit pricey, but they spoon feed you through the whole process and assist with business side of things (marketing, website, etc). I have a friend who has done this and has been running it for about 2 years - he is very succesful !!!!! He runs three classes a day; 5:30am women only, 6:30am co-ed, 6pm coed......average about 20 people per class, at 200$ per head = about 12K per month.............not bad for 3 hours a day.....ha................of course he had been doing PT for quite some time and had a solid rep before he started this bootcamp, but it was definitely a good investment for him...............now that it is summer, he is also looking at introducing a kids version..............

I would also try networking with places in the area where your demographic frequents. If I was going to hold a boot camp for people in their 20s I would try to leave information at the local universities. If I was going for the 30s and up crowd I would try local businesses or calling the HR at certain businesses to see if they have a community board of some kind.

Yeah Adventure Bootcamp is a nice little business -I'm normally against this franchising kind of stuff for trainers, but their business model has been shown to work and some top trainer with facilities run it -
