Well, I cross my arms a lot and make a stern face. There was a thread devoted to body language and a lot of the guys said that they wouldn't approach me in a million years.
It's all about being inviting and friendly.

I dont like approaching women who are acting busy or clinging onto their friends, you know what I mean, you'll be at a party and there is a super tight circle of friends all talking to each other. I hate barging into their group just to talk to one of them.

To me beauty isnt a factor, really. Im not intimidated by hot girls who would intimidate many other guys. What intimidates me is that girl that somehow 'clicks' something in my brain and Im instantly in love / attracted to her, which throws me off my game, makes me defenseless if you know what I mean.
This girl is generally hot, but not model hot, and isnt particularly intelligent, but has some wit . Its really random actually. Some hot girls I can talk with like my best friend, some less hot and that have different attributes I seem mesmerized by...
That said...Going to bed...Last question of the day

Exact same thing happens to me. I can talk to any girl all day long with no problems but when I see a chick that I view as ideal to my tastes I become a bumbling moron that couldn't keep a conversation going if my life depended on it, and that's if I can even summon the courage to talk to her, which I usually don't.

I agree with those saying girls in groups are intimidating. I guess dudes are scared of getting humiliated or embarassed, and the girls laughing. If she looks high maintenance, this is also a tough one, as it makes you feel like you just won't be up to scratch.
Other things are a cold stare, masculine body movements (e.g swinging shoulders)

i think if a girl is super tall, it's quite intimidating. Also if they're SUPER hot, then it's really difficult to approach them. You can tell by their attitude and body language most of the time. I guess it depends how confident you are with girls, you may never find any girl intimidating.

IMO girls really aren't that intimidating. Starting and keeping a conversation flowing is more intimidating than anything.
